The lame pass the torch ceremonies from game openers were taken seriously? By who?The patch looks like grandma sowed it on. And for me it’s all or nothing, so a bunch of ads or a single ad is the same. As I’m an avid soccer fan, I’m used it, but was always happy the NHL had preserved the jersey. I definitely wont take seriously all of the pass the torch garbage anymore though. We’re just a franchise like any other now. No identity, no respect for tradition. Just the Florida panthers of the north. Maybe it’s for the best and we can let go of all the myth making.
I read someone say it's around 4 million for the big market teams, not sure how true that is though. How much Habs get a year for putting RBC patch on Jersey?
A reporter asked Geoff yesterday morning and his answer was curt — he won’t divulge how much money sponsors pay.How much Habs get a year for putting RBC patch on Jersey?
You sure told him lolA reporter asked Geoff yesterday morning and his answer was curt — he won’t divulge how much money sponsors pay.
Hey Geoff, I don’t pay for Habs broadcasts, I watch play by play from opposition broadcasters so your CGI ads don’t appear for me and I miss out on all the in-game promos that your broadcasters use. I don’t know and don’t want to know that a power play is brought to me by one of your stooge corporate sponsors.
I have never bought Habs merch and never will but do know how to get knockoffs for cheap.
However, just like you with your sponsors I won’t divulge f*** all.
Of course, it's only hyperbole intended for an alternate reality shared by user names with no real identity. You sure told him lol
You may laugh, I choose to cry.lolEdit: found on twitter and had a good laugh, not mine lol

It's a bloody atrocity is what it is.Yeah I cant lie.. not loving it..
The Bell on the helmet was enough for me, this feels much worse
Disgusting!
Anyone who switches to or starts to use RBC services because they saw the RBC logo on a Habs jersey is a moron.

That's it? That bodes very poorly for the future of the ads on jersey debacle. At least I can still be told it's no big deal and as a consumer I deserve to have no opinion for another 5-10 ads.I read someone say it's around 4 million for the big market teams, not sure how true that is though.

The jerseys are a historical iconic piece of culture. This is like if they put a corporate logo on the Mona Lisa. But hey, it’s 2022 and the corporations control everything anyway so let’s just bend over.Which part of hockey is pure exactly? Lol
OK, someone on Twitter had mentioned $8M which is a good sum. He had it wrong then.My thought as well. Only $4 million?!
The Habs sold out there iconic jersey for less than the price of one 30 second Super Bowl ad

It’s def not 4. I don’t see it posted online. Maybe it is 8? I would have guessed it was more like 20.OK, someone on Twitter had mentioned $8M which is a good sum. He had it wrong then.
A lot of teams made the effort so far. Molson doesn't give a f***. I use to not care about Molson but this is just absolutely tasteless no matter how you look at it.I really thought they'd at least make an effort to blend these monstrosities with the jersey to avoid ruining it but they went for the grotesque, oversized scout badge look with dumb flashy colors instead. I dislike this more by the minute, it's just wrong.
A brand is different than an advertisement though. Adrian’s makes the jerseys, so they put their brand on it. Way way different.I don't wanna break your heart but wearing regular Habs clothing already did that, it's already advertising for a private company that wants your money
