Actually Thursday at 6. :)

I should've known that. The 27th is usually CPP disability day.

6/9 points would be fine I think from this window. While the US has an easy ish schedule, Mexico and Panama play each other so we can stay ahead of one of them depending on the result there.

It is just about getting in. However, if the team can grow through these games, as well as get the results they need, that would bode well for their chance at the big tournament.

6/9 would be great, but something is telling me that we will screw up in one of the supposedly "easy games". 4/9 would likely still put us in a really solid spot in the standings going into the last window in March.

This here is more the reality of Concacaf. Especially in road games. I think anybody assuming 6pts is "OK" hasn't followed Concacaf a lot. Getting 2W in these 3 games would be awesome. Without Davies the chance of getting more than that would have to be remote.

Davies availability would be great. But the heavy slogging required in these away games may be more suitable to dump trucks rather than Ferrari’s.

Oh trust me I follow CONCACAF. The road games are terrible conditions and we're usually lucky to get a point. I remember 8-1 against Honduras.

I'm just very optimistic about this Canada team and TRULY believe we are the cream of the crop in our region.

David, Buchanan and Borjan all had solid nights. The play in the middle of the pitch was understandably a little less dynamic, but they outplayed Honduras and got the road win so mission accomplished. They'll need to clean up their play in their third of the pitch against the US. The game in Hamilton will be a step up in quality for both Canada and the US. Hopefully Canada can get off to a good start and put an early goal on the board like they did tonight to settle their nerves against the US. I'd imagine the starting lineup will be tweaked a bit for the US game. They'll need a full team effort on Sunday, but if they get the win that will be huge.

Borjan with two huge palm saves to save this W for Canada. Overall we were very sloppy, could have been punished we walk out with the W.

That said it might even have been impacting Canadas movement to go up in the game so early. We really didn't establish possession like we should in the game. Looks like a team looking forward to the US. Not going to critique a win though. Immense talent on the pitch finding a way.

Corners and crosses are the great equalizer for inferior teams against better ones. Even great teams give up chances on these.

Thats fair, agreed. But possessional play can also eliminate a lot of those corner kicks from happening. In this game I kept thinking it would have been better to have the ball more, frustrate Honduras, and make them chase. The trouble in this game was the officials were giving Honduras full license to throw rugby tackles so every one of our players was nice and black and blue. What shambolic officiating. Should have been multiple red cards for Honduras. I don't even know how we were getting the yellow cards.

Dumb question - why wasn’t the second goal offside? I thought David was clearly behind the two defenders when the ball was on its way
