As someone who grew up on the island, now lives on the mainland and vacationed most summers in the Okanagan, I never found a place I found as beautiful as home until I drove through the Nelson/Kootenays area when a couple summers ago. Nelson is like the perfect sized town, like Nanaimo. Big enough, but still a small town feel, with access to every land or water based activity you can imagine.
Hmm, Nelson population is around 9,000. Nanaimo is 10x that.

But I agree, Nelson is AWESOME.

Nope. It is only one way. People living in Toronto couldn't give a crap about westerners. I actually find it hilarious the obsession westerners have with hating all things Toronto (goes beyond sports)

Delusions of grandeur much? I don't "hate all things Toronto", and literally almost everyone out west bandwagons for the Raptors and Blue Jays.

Which I think can be a joke sometimes, people that don't even like sports are all of a sudden lecturing you after game 3 vs the Warriors and you're like "Wow you've always been such a huge fan!"/sarcasm

There are lots of people who become geniune fans I suppose. But tons of Toronto bandwagoners like I described above.

If westerners are "obsessed" with any city it's Ottawa, lol.

Why are people talking about Canadian cities now lmao? Had to double check I came to right site.

It must be cause Leafs are first.

Ya, saw a comment on cross iron mall and was like wtf?

Bunch of people living in suburbs saying how their suburb is somehow superior haha

I dunno, Toronto gets talked about and complained about way too much there. It's like a big deal if you say you're from Toronto. Like someone passed wind in the room.

So Leafs fans are like literally every other fan base?
Yeah that's why I prefaced it by saying how every team is bad and this thread is full of hot takes, then used the most recent game as an example. It's not that deep.

Guy got a stick in the face followed up with an elbow to the back of the head driving his face into the ice. Did you not see the blood? People like you are a joke. Antics? I'm 220 lbs. Tell you what, let me hit you in the face with my stick then drive your face into the ice with an elbow in the back of your head. I'm sure you'll get up right away. If not, it's just "antics".
Let's see his reaction if the exact same thing happened to Barzal and what his opinion afterwards would be.

I want to post the Leafs’s version of their own dynamic duo since Keefe has taken over as coach.

All it took was Keefe putting Marner and Matthews together when Babcock was unwilling to do so save for some odd shifts.

Increase in TOI has also lead to greater production for Marner and Matthews.

Credit goes to @zeke for the numbers:

Matthews

Under Babs (235gms): 18:15toi, 44gl / 81pt pace
Under Keefe (59gms): 21:37toi, 61gl / 95pt pace

Marner

Under Babs (259gms): 17:50toi, 23gl / 77pt pace
Under Keefe (54gms): 22:34toi, 27gl / 106pt pace

No one can explain what Babcock was thinking
