The OHL is the best junior league in the world, and it's leading scorer (Ty Voit) wasn't even invited to the US camp.

But that's US hockey politics - favour players in the USHL, even if it hurts the team. Voit may not have the same NHL potential as other guys, but he's clearly quite dominant at the junior level.
Id rather have Will Smith or Ryan Leonard.

Unfortunately goalie interference will be the headline. But the US had plenty of chances that we just didn't finish. And I think some saves Milic made robbed us far more than any goalie interference call.

Caught puck watching on both the 3rd and 4th Canadian goals. And caught on an extended shift with tired players to seal the deal after controlling a lot of play offensively in the 3rd

Edit: Again credit to Milic in this game, a well deserved player of the game recognition for him.

Yeah well, it's not like I didn't expect Americans to cheer for Czechia. They are a very good team, and who gives a rat's @zz about people hoping you lose.
The stuff goes down on the ice, and the team that wins is the best team. Period.

Edit: being hated means you're doing something right.

I remember when Conor Garland led the CHL once and QMJHL twice in scoring and never made the team too because he chose CHL
The Halifax screw job…. Unfortunate the best team in tournament has to settle for bronze
You do know that if you can’t both goals (you shouldn’t) that they still lose, right?

How bad

How badly do cities down there want it, I wonder.
I grew up in Southern Ontario and used to go to Sabres games at the old Aud occasionally. Buffalo really seemed to be a good fit. Good blue-collar kind of hockey place.
I wouldn't mind it being anywhere where the local population will support it.
They did Buffalo in 2010 or 2011 and it was legit 90% Canadian fans

Holy shit. This is ridiculous. Never did I think I’d see Americans whining and moaning so much over a kids tournament in a sport they hardly care about.

When’s NASCAR season? It makes much more sense to get so emotional over cars going around in a circle than it does over a kids hockey tournament.

He’s absolutely been one of the best players this tournament. He’s created far more offense and has been heavily relied upon that a lot of those players. Cooley was the best player on a really good team. To say that Sapovaliv was better is completely asinine.

I won’t compare him to defenseman. But there was only one better forward this entire tournament and that’s Bedard imo. We get it, you like the Czech.
Sapovaliv's team is in the final. His team won against Canada and now Sweden as well. He logged most minutes in the semifinal which they won.
Cooley wasn't even close. You guys lost against Slovakia, won against a weak Finland and the worst quarterfinal team ever in Germany.
Also, Slovakia gave a better game in the quarters than the US did today. Also, I was just as impressed by Mesar and what he was able to create against Canada without having teammates on the same level as Cooley.
But I get if your biased or didn't actually watch the games.

No, it's not about liking. I mentioned four or five other players from other teams. Huuhtanen and Mesar would probably been just as good with better teammates and in the long term? I see just as much potential in Dvorsky as Cooley.
If I would ever be biased than it's with Finnish players so don't even try to bs your way out of this.

You weren’t embarrassed making this post? Where is your dignity? What do the leafs have to do with a USA choke job?

edit: quoted wrong guy

Agreed, him and Roy really stood out tonight.
Yeah I think that Roy was the best player tonight, but I watch him in the QMJHL and he barely looks like the same player. He himself said during his interview with TSN that he doesn't kill penalties, yet there he was being a weapon on the penalty kill and otherwise making hard plays.

Not only are you wrong about the Canadian fan distribution you don’t even know the rules of the game you’re watching. Talk about embarrassing
Enjoy the win. Canada ended the game with more allowed goals so they won. I guess I kind of don’t understand all the rules though so I’m not sure.

(Seriously though the Leafs bit was a bad joke, go get gold so Clarke being kept off the Kings roster when he deserves to be there means something)
