Fact. Almost every WJC is in Canada. Occasionally they’ll give it to the US (in Buffalo 2 miles over the Canadian border )

How badly do cities down there want it, I wonder.
I grew up in Southern Ontario and used to go to Sabres games at the old Aud occasionally. Buffalo really seemed to be a good fit. Good blue-collar kind of hockey place.
I wouldn't mind it being anywhere where the local population will support it.

no one wants to host it; no one bothers to organize it properly outside of canada (for the most part) It also turns a profit for the IIHF when it's in canada. Russia was supposed to host this tourney but well we know what happened

Have to give Fantilli some credit as well. He's really thrown himself into his fourth line role and has looked solid even in the games he hasn't scored. He pressures other teams with his size and skating and drives the puck toward the other team's net. Definitely his best game tonight.

But he wasn't one of the bet in the tournament, not even close.
Kulich, Jiricek, Svozil, Carlsson, Roy, Bedard, Stankoven were better. You could also claim that Spacek and Sapovaliv and perhaps even Mesar have been just as good. I guess you've not watched the other teams play that much?

He’s absolutely been one of the best players this tournament. He’s created far more offense and has been heavily relied upon that a lot of those players. Cooley was the best player on a really good team. To say that Sapovaliv was better is completely asinine.

I won’t compare him to defenseman. But there was only one better forward this entire tournament and that’s Bedard imo. We get it, you like the Czech.

My memory is a bit foggy on the locations back then, But yeah, some variety in locations would be good. I've gone through Grand Forks a few times on road trips.
