Great game of hockey you yanks, that was fun. The difference was Helly vs Binnington, and we all knew how that would go.

Hopefully we can find our way to the finals for a rematch, just legendary stuff.

Well the two were in complete different leagues tonight. You think that ever happened when Gretzky and Lemieux shared the ice? Nope.

Morrisey was scared to give him the puck at the end, kept deferring to McDavid to do nothing with it. Mac gets its and tosses anything at the net and it was the most dangerous play of the period. McDavid is the problem here.

I've loved McAvoy since the World Juniors. He didn’t have the best game against Finland but what a bounce back! Great game. Difficult to say wrong team won when Binnington is the best goalie Canada has this era.

I just meant to me. Not that USA didn't deserve to win. All things considered I'd say it was an evenly contested game. But like you said.....Binnington <<<Hellebuyck noticeable difference.

Hill should have started game 1 and game 2, Binnington did nothing but historical stuff for Team Canada...Cooper shit the bed in G choice x 2

I don’t have a problem if they go with Hill. But man, switching goalies and going in cold is scary. But what choice do they have now?

Really didn't feel like it. Helly made a few good saves, but it felt like Team USA really didn't give the Canadians many good opportunities to score. Everytime Team Canada had the puck and was trying to attack, there was a US player right there with them shutting them down most of the time.

Now you know what its like being a Jets fan listening to the Tranta Media.

I think McDavod played a good game. He generated the most of anyone.

McDavid did have a good game, Canada leaned on him too much but he still managed to generate some dangerous plays. Would've really helped to have a killer shot that demands respect on the blueline with Makar to help spread out the ice.

You’d think a guy with Patrice Bergeron in his name would appreciate a stellar defensive performance. But we all have agendas I guess.

We do indeed.

I understand Toronto fans have been attempting to label Matthews a true Selke center but he simply is not. The entire team was executing well with defensive structure but one would anticipate Matthews doing anything on offense, let alone missing open nets.

He should not be captain. Not Toronto. Not USA.

It's not an excuse, because they are talented enough to win regardless (if MacKinnon wasn't such a bum playing with no emotion), but Makar definitely would've made a difference tonight. You can't replace his shooting threat from the point, would've massively helped crack the US's solid defensive structure.

Game was a toss up overall in chances, USA just converted once more. Teams are very close in talent level but Canada's lack of offense from defense was noticeable. Makar, especially as a a goal scoring dman, is in his own tier amongst all dmen.
