whats the point of winning a tournament when most of your games are against the dregs. It’s not an achievement to beat any of these teams they’ve played and keep playing in their “bracket”.

It's an unusual year where you have one really strong group, and one quite weak one. Not only is there no Sweden, USA, Russia, or Czech in the group but Germany who could've iced one of their best teams ever was hamstrung by covid rules and Seider dropping out, as well as a Swiss team that is going through a national lull in high-end prospects. These things happen, if Canada was in the other group no one would be sqawking about this. Canada usually has one blowout game, this year they're going to have 2+, but so be it, ten teams is perfect. I too am a little bored but starting tomorrow that is all going to change.
Canada v Finland and Sweden vs USA on NYE, and Sweden vs Russia tomorrow.
