Love how the guys not interested in the tournament are the ones posting the most

It’s been a fun tournament and miles better than the ASG, imo. Some folks want regular hockey back and I get it. But it’s been exciting and the players seem to give a crap. It’s a win for the NHL.

The final game should be exciting.

I'm not quite sure how you blame Binnington on any of those goals...
1st one post and in from the front. Nice D.
2nd one 6 on 5, tic tac play one timer with mega screen.
3rd one a wicked wrister with the D nowhere to be found.

...the first one was an absolute muffin that leaked under his blocker...the second was him swimming around like a moron for no reason and, even after he centred himself, still left the five -hole wide open...

1st one - horrible angle. He got beat by that same shot 3 times this tournament. He overplays the short side and has half his body covering behind the net giving the shooters a ton to shoot at.

2nd one - he had the chance to freeze the puck, kicked out the rebound over and over, leading to the goal

3rd one - the shooter basically had 50% of the net to shoot at because Binnington for some reason panics and leans down

4th (should have been goal) - Binnington kicked out the rebound straight to Aho and scrambled. Lost the net, but Aho shot it wide on the open net

Also there were a few more chances where Finland had a ton of net to shoot at but kept missing the net. Binnington has terrible angles. On top of that he has zero rebound control. He kicks out every rebound and every chance is a scramble. How many times did Canadian forwards have to come back to get the rebound? Of course it's hard to do that when you're shorthanded - which is why it was chance after chance 6v5 - the other team has an extra player on the ice and you have a goalie who can't hold a puck. Only a matter of time until it goes in.

The Finns just never go away eh... On to the finals, hopefully Makar gets all our goalies sick and we can bring someone with a 900+ Save percentage in.

I dislike Binnington as much as the next person. But I agree. Felt a lot more like Canada started go stand around and watch. Sure Binnington lost his stick in a scramble and then got beaten 5 hole and it wasn't great, but it never should have gotten to that point if Canadians actually had some urgency there to clear crease and be first to pucks.

Team Canada was playing like the game was over, and Binnington got bit for it.

Nice to have Makar back, you could argue he's Canada's most important player.

Credit to the Finns for never giving up.

This Canadian team is relying way too much on a small number of forwards. McDavid, MacKinnon and an injured Crosby. Maybe the trio can get it done vs USA, but they need to find a way to get guys like Marner going. Just not enough scoring through the lineup right now.

I'd start Hill for the final. He almost never goes down and hes more sound positionally. Binnington looks fatigued.

Absolutely speechless how come they made Binnington a started over you

I don't see how you can blame Bennington for any of those goals. These are NHL level shooters. They make NHL level shots. And if you give them NHL level chances they will shoot it towards the net.
Yeah he might have looked a bit shaky at times, but I don't understand what he did wrong on the goals :D Feels there's 5 other guys on the ice who let top NHL players dance in very good positions and we had even more chances than the 2 we converted with 6 man on the ice
