Just look at the skating, passing and puck control of the Swedes.
Far superior by Sweden.
And the US team is better than Sweden. I fear a similar result Saturday for the US as their domination over Canada at the under 18's.

USA hockey took a few pages out of our book when they started the NTDP, time for us to take a few pages from their book now.

Hart's just having a rough game

Of course its such a high scoring game when the goalies are 2 Flyer specs :D

Thankfully it's only summer and the goal is to get lots of different guys action. But losing is never acceptable when you're playing for Canada. I'm expecting Hart to be better for the remainder of the time he's in net.

They looked better in the closing minutes of the first. The Strome-Marner line looked good, same with Bean on the backend.

He'll bounce back, im sure of it ;)

I've liked David Bernhardt in this camp. Might have an outside shot of making the swedish WJC team.

They've looked much better here in the 2nd. The Swedish goalie is playing very well.

Yes we have.

I know it'll never happen but I would love to see an under 19 (16, 17 and 18) team in each of the 3 junior leagues in Canada.

Irrelevant to this game (I came into the thread to hear about all of the Strome/Marner magic we saw last year) but I must ask. Why are so many of your posts about USA hockey and their development program? It's not remotely relevant here, so it confuses me. I recognize your username only because I have noted how often you post on this subject, even when it isn't relevant. I don't quite understand it.

I said this during the last world juniors, but Marner and Strome cant be on the same line. No chemistry between the two whatsoever.

I like their emphasis on skating, puck control and passing.
I've heard Finnish and Swedish officials say they looked at the US system and have implemented many of their on ice and off ice systems.

I realize that they have an advantage as they have an under 17 and under 18 team but it's also more than just that.

Much better 2nd from Canada. Sandstrom is having an outstanding game.
