Finland robbed once again, refs bottled it big time in OT.
Was it a ref that assisted Canada's winning goal straight off the faceoff? Or took a sloppy tripping penalty followed by a pathetic excuse of PK play?
Finland robbed once again, refs bottled it big time in OT.
I think they had a perfect PK and only allowed 5 goals in 3 games against Russia, US and Finland. It's not like Canada dominated their way through the playoffs.
OT win, empty netter, OT win again.
A wild one for sure.
Every loss is the refs fault, especially against Canada.
Oh boo hooOf course it's sour, sour as hell when you get robbed!
The 3 on 3 was agreed to in 2019. So hilarious to see the Finnish fans being poor sports. Your A or B team got beaten by Canada's Y Team. I had not even heard of many of the players on Team Canada. I thought they would be lucky to make it to the QF. Every European team treats the World Hockey Championship as their Stanley Cup.Just bait. Finland had a workhorse team and Canada had their whatever left over millionares.
It's a joke the OT was 3on3. Why did they change to this?
Usually when you win a tight game your happy. Canadians like to shit on ppl and actually drag you across concrete - "This was our Z team and your A", "Hockey is our game" blablabla. Moronic behaviour. I didnt know you actually always behave like that. Czechs, Russians and Swedes behave better.
and yet Canada doesn't win every yearYeah, real gutsy. Against SHL and Liiga players... C´mon man.
He scared the <bleep> out of me in O.T.Buffalo is going to get a heck of a player in Owen Power!
Go team!As a bandwagon jumper, I am proud of the team.
Canadas Z team won Finlands A lol
Play this game 100 times and Canada wins 100
Karma for the embarrassment by Anttila in the first period.Finland robbed once again, refs bottled it big time in OT.
and not one of these Canadian players will be on the Olympic team. You could think before commenting you know
You guys had 22 NHL players and Finland had 2.
Haven’t said it yet, but congrats to Suomi on the Silver.
Competitive game that could have went either way, once again you guys show what a hockey power and force your country is in this sport that you love as much as Canadians do.
Pleasure as always, things are intense when the games on but it’s always to show respect to a worthy opponent.
Yawn. we send a bunch of lunch buckets over and they still win gold. The other countries should be ashamed.
I mean it's our game, it has always been our game and will always be our game and anyone with a brain cell knows that. But when all your good players either decline or are still playing hockey that matters another Nation should pick up the scraps.
Yup. Canada's H team won Finland's C team.
There is this thing called offside in ice hockey.
NHL did change their offside rule prior to the current season, but on IIHF championships IIHF rules apply.
Congrats for Canada. Nice goals and you were not the reason that stupid refs did not give 1-2 penalties on 3-on-3.
What?
The team Finland you saw here had 2 NHL players, and many Finnish League players.
I'd say that's Finnish C team, and your Canadian team was maybe G or H with 22 NHL players.
According to Quanthockey, there were 60 Finnish guys in NHL this season, albeit some of them were in very minor role.
None of it matters. Just fun.So well said, highly appreciate your words. It was a good game, even if we lost. Could have gone either way.
The positive side for loosing - there is not going to be a COVID-19 spike tomorrow
Seriously what is this rubbish I keep reading here? None of the teams participating in the tournament had their A teams in the tournament - get over it. That is why we have the Olympics. I'd still rate the Canadian team the best skill wise - and probably one of the reasons why they won eventually. I'm sure every poster on this forum knows the material advantage Canada has on every level.
I'm out.
I'm a finn and I don't think the shove and Lundells fall were penalties.Finland robbed once again, refs bottled it big time in OT.
