Just wanna say, as a Finnish fan. I hope Canada really celebrate tonight. Truth be told no matter the level, when all factors are included these are the top 2 teams in the world. Congratulations to Canada! We know you are warriors... you know we are warriors. Hope you party it up tonight, for bý G we all deserve some exciting national team hockey!

As a Canadian, I am happy Canada won but would much rather see them play at least 4 on 4 like they used to do. It was a coin flip game.

3 on 3 is disgusting. I hate it.

They should just do it in elimination.

To be fair that's how it always is. USA and Canada rarely send over big players cause guys are in the playoffs/tired from the season. Even moreso with covid. You sometimes get bigger guys but it's often few if any.

There is this thing called the "spirit of the rule". I don't feel the coach's challenge was meant to be about inches because that doesn't ultimately change the play, really. More like the Duchene ones where they clearly miss it.

I mean that was several inches offside, and not like so many of those cases you see every week on NHL that are just barely offside.

I mean it's our game, it has always been our game and will always be our game and anyone with a brain cell knows that. But when all your good players either decline or are still playing hockey that matters another Nation should pick up the scraps.

They gave up their time to play in a pandemic for their country. More than you or me.

A regulation game consists of three 20-minute periods with two 15-minute intermissions.

At the Olympic Games, no games can end in a tie, so deadlocks are broken by a four-on-four overtime period or, if needed, a shoot-out.

Overtime is five minutes for group stage games and 10 minutes for all playoff games, except for the gold medal game which has a 20 minute overtime.

Congratulations referees. You missed two 10/10 penalties against Canada in overtime. They logged out after 5 vs 5. This is a disgrace for this sport.

But congrats Canada, Comtois was great in this game. Even if Määttä, Jalonen, Ruohomaa, Anttila and company deserved the gold. Make no mistake about it.
