Or it's just a slow Friday afternoon in the office.

It is wild ot think how wuickly this guys stock went from Canadian Soccer Icon to a joke. I think this is it for him on this side of the pond.
Im off and at the cottage. I have no excuse.

Also, I actually love the idea of a CPL manager getting the job. I'm just not privy to the candidates available. I need something to bring myself back to watching TFC again.

My new dream for the current coaching saga in Canada....

TFC hire Bobby Smyrniotis, Vancouver hire Tommy Wheeldon JR. We get to see that rivalry continue at the next level and see two coaches get a well deserved step up in the world.

Then at the CPL level, both Cavalry and Forge sign new Canadian coaches, giving the two most winningest teams a new look and the league a potential change in power.

Side note - Atleti Ottawa also has an open coaching spot. Plenty of jobs to go around in Canada.

They don't have Uber in Munich? I mean, come on man. Makes for a great teaching moment for my kids.
For real. Some are being quick to say Phonzie had a legal amount of alcohol in him for many place around the world (Quebec included).... Personally, I hate that line of thinking. He isn't in Quebec or somewhere weher 0.6% alchohl is acceptable, he's in Germany where it's illegal.

Quiet day across the landscape but certainly worth noting Larin's goal in a start for Mallorca yesterday. Another big win as they creep towards the Champions league.

Justin Smith started for Espanyol in a huge 3-1 win for them. They are near the foot of the table and Smith went 61 minutes in their central midfield. He has to be on our radar does he not?

Junior Hoilett got a goal in a huge 3-0 win for Hibs at Motherwell. Hibs are now above Hearts and into 11th place in the Scottish prem.

In surprising news, Ayo Akinola is starting to hit his stride in the Swiss second division. Scored this weekend yet again.

Totally forgot about him.

JD had another brace for Lille, otherwise not a good day in the French league for our boys.

Sigur started on the outside right of a 4-2-3-1 for Split in a big win over Zagreb. Not only that he scored the only goal of the game so he is clearly showing his versatility. Played right back, played in a double pivot and now in attack.

Z Brault-Guillard played 90 for Lugano in a loss to Servette. Tight at the top.

I think I saw a quote from Rakitic basically saying the kid is going to be something amazing, is a hard worker, and is beloved in the team.

Great news in all respects.

We have moved up to 31st in the Fifa rankings. Our highest ever position and I still feel like it's too low for this team

Pumped to see what comes from 2025 for this group. Going to be a big year as we push on to 2026.
I think it would be cool if some international breaks were pair off matchups between teams similar in the current rankings. Share all stadiums between everyone to provide the most neutral sites for matches. For instance Canada vs Wales in say NYC, or Canada vs. Serbia in London, etc.

Canada rampaging through concacaf wc 2022 qualifying is my most gratifying sports fan experience.
That was peak sports. Nothing beats it.

I like the matchup Idea, would probably need to have games in host coutnries to esnure bigger crowds.
