I am an old man... still play FIFA with my two boys.. No Canadian National Team in EA FC 25.. Is that down to the CSA not being able to get a deal done?

Hmmm that's a good question. I swear we were in games of the past?

We were in 23 if i remember correctly.

Canada was in every game from the original.(92?).. save for 24 and 25. Certainly made sense given the game was mainly worked on in Vancouver... and the national team had many years we were one of the weakest in the game.

So it stings a bit that it's not included yet again.

I watched Marseille and Strasbourg.. Corn and Kone started in a 1-0 loss on the road. Kone left injured on 60 and man he was distraught. We have to hope this is not going to be the way forward. Be hard to imagine him in Toronto next month.

Weekend MLS update, JRR started and scored in a 2-2 draw for Columbus.

The Great Dayne got a much needed clean sheet for Minny. Tani coming off the bench which has been happening quite a bit.

Afrifa started on the left of a front 3 for KC and scored their only goal in a 3-1 loss to St Louis. Hiebert continues to start at LCB for them.

Whitecaps and Portland tied at 1. Creps and Miller in for the Timbers. Miller again at LB and taken out on 70.

Ahmed was injured for this one. Boehmer on the bench for Takaoka

We were promised some newcomers.

Knight-Lebel, Lopez and Poku. 19, 19 and 21. Nice to bring in some of the U20 talent!
Very pleased to see Lopez. I mentioned it here before.. he has some Osorio to him but has played more as an attacker and less as a midfielder. All of a playmaker, scorer, flair and also has free kick chops. Osorio plus at the very least.

Poku is neat because it's a player that basically is right out of the CPL. players need to see a pathway if they are good enough and Poku could be playing in the Jupiler League by next year. Where Lopez is a right footer that plays the left in a front 3, Poku would most often play the right of a front 3.

I have never, ever heard of Knight Lebel. Bristol City player loaned to league 2 Crewe. Played on the right side of a back 3 in a win on Saturday. 6 foot 2 ... yep, get this fella in the fold.

Not only is right out of the CPL... He was a second string left back to start the season. Now he is a striker in Europe.... it blows my mind.

Reading up on Knight-Lebel. Good pedigree. Came through Southampton and Bristol youth teams. Continuing to develop in the Crewe senior team. Crewe is a great spot for young guys to develop. Decent size full back. Let's get him cap tied.

Big weekend in the CPL:

Forge can clinch the regular season title with a win.

Halifax and Vancouver play a massive game for the final playoff spot. A win for either side would give a massively improve their chances at getting the 5th spot.

In strange news, Cavalry lost Bevan this year, apparently they knew in March but just released it this weekend...

Oh the other big note from the club side. TFC host Messi today. Supporters groups and club have been warning Messi jerseys about going into the supporters section.
