Not quite Crosby Mcdavid down the middle but I, for one, am excited to see amateurs play Olympic hockey again.
True amateurism doesn't exist anymore at the Olympics so I don't care about that aspect, I would much rather see the best in each sport. Since I'm a patriotic, I'm still excited and will follow the national team, though my expectations aren't very high.

Saw the replay of the game against Finland last night and boy we will have a tough time in Korea with that team.
Yeah, I watched the game also. Team looked really slow, there's some good skating skilled players but overall they played really slow and couldn't create much. Not a lot of skill on the team, just a lot of grinders.

Sean Collins will likely make it, he had more points then 80% of the players listed in this thread in the KHL last year.

He had a goal and an assist in the try out tournaments.

You guys are fast asleep

lol this guy is 100% Sean Collins. If you read his post history it's either about himself or it's Saskatoon related. I googled the guy and what do you know it, he's from Saskatoon.

Way to pump your own tires buddy.

The women's team was named today.

I'm a tad bit concerned about the defense (again). It's fine against every other nation but inevitably when we match up against the US, their forwards just run circles around our D. We still find a way to win gold, but eventually this will catch up to them.

There will be a big chance that Canada is the shortest and lightest of the top six. Will be an olympic first where the other teams will feel they have a physical advantage..

we should be arguing about who will be backing up carey price not google searching barry burst. these Olympics are a huge disappointment and it doesn't even matter whos fault it is, it sucks for Hockey in general.

hey world lets watch subpar athletes compete

An absolute shame we don't get to see Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid team up to take on the best of the rest of the world has to offer because of the greed of a bunch of old men. Even worse the world cup is probably going to be canceled because of the inevitable lockout so by the time we see it in maybe 2022, Crosby will probably have fallen off a bit.

Wait a second, the NHL had a World Cup in 2016. Surely we saw Crosby and McDavid together playing for Canada in their respective primes.
