why should it matter to us , let them enjoy their goal , they have that right
and who cares we always beat them , let them have their small victories :p
Weak call against Russia.
Barzal and Jost stood out that period imo
I like what I see from Canada. Jost has easily been the best player, along with Myers.
Dube's been impressive, too.
How Speers been?
And how do 30 nhl teams not draft Meyers??????
Almost like acquiring multiple picks in a single draft improves your chances of getting better players. Benning needs to research this to see if it is indeed true.
I disagree with this. Three of the four lines have good chemistry imoSeems like only the Jost line has any real chemistry, hope Ducharme isn't afraid to throw the other 3 lines in the blender while the tournaments young if things start to go south.
Because he was garbage in his draft year?
From 2001 to 2015, Vancouver has had the fewest picks with 102. Chicago has had the most with 145.
The team with the fewest draft picks to reach 100 GP in that span is Vancouver (13). The team with the most was Columbus (31). Chicago had the second most with 30. Not exactly shocking stuff, but it goes to show that sheer volume is the single most important factor when it comes to success at the draft. More important that scouting which can be random and very susceptible to luck.
That said, Vancouveer has also had the worst success rate during that time as well, so poor scouting has contributed.
