WC: Canada 2019 roster (Who will go in Slovakia ?)

You guys really need to move on from that. And of course this Team Canada would be better with Tavares then without him, he is a world class player. The fact that he left the Isles for Toronto does not change that.

It’s still quite solid, what’s wrong this year with GM announcements? If something, HC has always cleared that out.

Oh, Tavares again, is this guy made of porcelain when wearing maple leaf?
 
silly Tavares banter aside does HC have its head 4 feet deep up its ass for this year’s tournament or what? What kind of shitty depth does this country have for hockey players when it has 12 forwards named a day before the tournament and one of which is Jared f***ing McCann who at his very best ought to be the 14th forward on even an average WHC Canada team.

Sweden, USA and Russia (and even the Swiss) all have brought excellent and respectable rosters for this year and ours looks extremely thin. They absolutely have to bring some reinforcements, at minimum two scoring forwards. I don’t understand what’s so different this year compared to the previous four years’ rosters, all of which were respectable.

Even when Turris was coming off a good year I never really liked him much at the WHC. hopefully wearing the C gives him a little extra juice to his game.

Tavares had every right to leave, enough of this petty school yard hurt feelings nonsense where fans are literally taking it personally that a professional athlete exercised a right of his to test free agency and leave for more money and a new opportunity.

I'm hoping Barzal or Seguin join the team. They'd add definite star power to the team and be good replacements for Tavares.
