I played hockey all last winter with him and Frost & Dellandrea on the local ODR and both of these kids wouldnt even try but they’d still outplay everybody. I can still see Canada playing well with what they have this year though.

Loving the sample size :handclap:

What joke entehistle making the team as a favor for Jonathan Toews. I can’t believe this garbage.
Lol. What? What is an "entehistle" and what does it have to do with Toews? If you're talking about Entwistle, he has nothing to do with Toews and is a very strong two-way forward. He was a big part of making the Hamilton Bulldogs OHL champions last season. He's also consistently contributed for Team Canada in past tournaments.

I would hope that they can dominate at the local ODR without trying. I am just not sure how you played hockey all last winter with them while Dellandrea was in Flint and Frost in SSM.... Story doesnt check out bro.
LOL okay maybe that was just a bit exaggerated. Not all winter. But they came through a lot during the break though.

It does boggle the mind how that out of all possible choices made the eventual cut.
2 players on the team last year submitted the song behind the rest of the teams back as a joke and it became a running joke for the rest of the tournament. It really isn't that big of a deal what song a bunch of teenagers decide to want played after they score a goal.

As much as I hated it, there did seem to be some kind of mojo that came along with it. It was fun and interesting, at least. And here we are talking about it one year later.

No, it's not a big deal, it's just a shitty/cheesy song that's all. Doesn't convey rolling thunder very well!!

Hey, we won.......................I am not gonna be too upset about that.

I would agree that it did, in a weird sort of way.
I absolutely detested it when it was first believed, almost couldn’t believe my ears, and I haven’t added it to my Spotify playlist, but every time I hear it now it lifts my spirits, as I think of how the crowd roared it out after the Steenbergen goal.

I get what you are saying, it sort of does that with me too now.

Amazing what winning will do to a fellas feelings eh? if we had lost though, oh boy...................that song would be hated far more then it even would be under normal conditions, I know it would probably move to number one on my most hated song of all time list, though it's difficult to see anything ever replacing any number of songs by Air Supply in my hate pantheon.

Defense Review:

Lots of mistakes by the defense on TC today: Puck went off Bouchard 's stick cost the 1st goal; Brook lost neutral battle and caused the turnover costed the 2nd goal; Smith & Dobson not in position caused the 3rd goal.

Forward Review:

Lafreniere looks like he is an under-ager, looks slow and soft, please review the 3rd period - 11:25 minutes.
I would prefer to have some other 19 years old forward player. Lafreniere did not look good.

Could not disagree with this more, in fact if what we saw tonight is any indication we are going to have to lean on him more then initially thought.

He played well, he is going to be a good player for us this tournament.

Completely disagree with your analysis of Lafreniere. He was a bull in the corners and on the forecheck.

Congratulations you’re the first person I’ve ever seen describe Lafreniere as “soft”. He edge he plays with and his physicality are among his best attributes.

He makes quick, smart decisions with the puck too, processes the play so well and the plays he makes are nearly always the correct one, will battle for the puck hard too. Soft he sure as hell ain't, will make and take checks with no complaint.

Very mature player,if he gets on the scoresheet early his confidence will really take off and he could end up being a real key guy for us.

Just back from the game. A few thoughts:
A few bright spots: Comtois and Glass were very good. Canada did most of the things expected from them for big chunks of the game. The PP looked good and they are moving the puck around pretty good for a squad that has only been together a week.
A few bad spots: DiPietro did not look good. Yeah, yeah, goalies need to be busy and he wasn’t, but I thought none of those goals was earned. Too many low-percentage shots from their forwards. There was a serious shortage of intensity and energy.
Bottom line: they have to be better. Friday will be a better indication.

Have any1 review the play of the forwards on TC (TC vs Swiss game okay). I agree with the hockeyanalyst99. Lafreniere looked a little slower than the other TC forwards. He does not seem to be as effective as the other forwards. Please review the WHOLE GAME BEFORE YOU COMMENT. It is really Pejorative Slured when you say something without watching the game in details.
Any1 has the game recording, please advise.

I really couldn’t disagree with this review more. Maybe we were just watching different games. :dunno:

this team is going to be allright. they are not going to score a lot of goals against the big teams and there lies the difficulty. Can they play in their own end. Dipietro looked shaky. Easy to say because it is true. We are going to have to have the best goalie in the tournament to win this and isn't it about time we did.
Comtois looks like Getslaf and has he ever improved. Leave Lafreniere alone. He will figure it out.
