Should be a good game. Other than Dube and Fabbro being injured, I'm glad we get to gave a look at everybody (no scratches like there were against U-Sports). I'm saying Batherson scores our first goal.
The way certain people in this thread are talking, you’d think we’d be relying on Hart for our goal scoring.

“That’s the only reason we lost. If we played our ‘key players’, we’d have dominated them.”

:naughty:

Bad move for the Czechs. Sometimes it's good to get humiliated in the friendly matches, this could light a fire under the players' butts and be good motivation and a learning experience for the tournament itself. Now they will just blame it on the absence of their good players, who will not have benefitted from seeing the ice against thenCanadian team.

All those top players are likely going to play against a good Finland team, that's enough. No need to risk an injury to a key player in a game that's mainly about the borderline players anyway. Those need to prove they belong, not Necas or Chytil... Glad they decided to sit them out.

Let's not project humiliation after Canada lost both games to the USports all stars. It would be better from a Canadian perspective if the Czechs sent their best, but Canada can't control that. The game will be competitive enough to help the players prepare for the tournament and that's sufficient.

With the roster the Czechs are icing, I feel confident that our full roster should win by a big margin. That said, I don't like the lines, so a surprise performance by the Czech B team would actually make me pretty happy since that would cause a shakeup for sure.

Nice, the forward group is exactly what I wanted except with Gadjovich in place of the injured Dube

Stanley just isn't very good, Vilardi has been injured the entire first half of the season. Brown is with the Americans and the other 3 just didnt make the team.

Jets fan here....

Yes Stanley isn't good enough... aka skating... primarily transition, stop and start...

Would be left behind... constantly in this tournament...

Jets fans in general just hope he continues to improve... which he has...

Just more progress is necessary... not ready for this tournament....

Kyrou and Gadjovich just had good chances

Howden looks great, Foote made a very risky pass along the blue line with no one behind him defending to Howden enterin the O zone but nothing bad came out of it

And Comtois gets a goal

The Czechs in recent history haven't been the speediest of teams...

But Canada's unit seems to sure have a lot more quickness so far...

Bodes well...

Nice rush by Kyrou...
