Can the Panthers make the playoffs with this blueline?

Praying for more panthers losses. I can easily seeing them finishing 4th in the Atlantic. They would play either Leafs, Lightning, Penguins or Rangers.

They’d be underdogs in each one.

Top 24 pick to Montreal thank you very much.

Lmao, what a terrible post in a laughable thread. You clearly haven't watched much of Montour, but it's very clear that your interest lies in trotting out the current lineup with missing context. Ek comes back and some point, Montour is better than Carlsson and Kiersted. Troll's gonna troll I guess.

Explain, cause most Panther fans I know have loved this summer.

I wouldn’t call love exactly.

For future potential sure but not for the multiple overpays& the current state of the defense

Who in the pipeline has the potential to help?

Not very well stocked with high end guys but should be able to develop a couple 2nd and 3rd pair guys with limited shot at a top pair D.

Nause, recent 2nd rounder, plays in the Q. Has good size at 6'2 and hovers around 190lbs. Should only getting bigger as he gets older.
Strong skating and 2 way ability and fundamental in edgework, gap control and agility along with a solid first pass and transition game.
Projects as 2nd pair guy, hopefully closer to a #3 than #4.

Ludvig (3rd rounder) has the all around toolbox but more leaning to a defensive defenseman with physical play. Ability to fight as well, wore the C in Portland (WHL).
Injured all last year but could become a decent shutdown #4 with some offensive upside, has a pretty hard and accurate shot.
Playing in Charlotte (AHL) right now

Alscher, (3rd rounder) more of a 2 way blend and similar toolbox to that of Ludvig, they both play(ed) for Portland.
Willing to block shots, play smart hockey in all 3 zones but better defensively than offensively. Hopes of #4 potential but may fall close to #5/6 ceiling

Benning, (4th rounder) more of a true offensive D, not greating skating but good enough to drive offense. Plays for Denver in NCAA and was nearly a PPG player last year.
Has the potential for a decent 2nd pairing offensive D/PPQB.

At the pace they are going, it's looking like 20 someting losses on the season. Keep praying for us.

I'd they are dogs against the Leafs that is a bet I could make a lot of money from. Not surprising that they have a good start yet again but the Leafs take Ls against world beaters like the Canadiens and Coyotes.

Answer to what question? Huberdeau and weegar >>> Tkachuk let alone the other assets. Awful trade.

Cool. That’s what you think, as an outsider. To Panthers fans, this trade was great. Tkatchuk at his age is such a better player than Huberdeau was at 24, and brings more to the team now, than Huberdeau did back then, and up until now. That, along with the cap space the Panthers will have over the next couple of summers, even more so when the big cap jump comes soon, makes this trade a good one in my eyes.

I could care less what anyone outside thinks of the trade. Members here think they know what Calgary is getting, or the Sutter will somehow elevate their games to an even higher level, but they didn’t watch those two players on a daily basis like we did, and saw how flawed they are, even with one of them being a 110+ point player.
