You know Ive watched many games of Brock Boeser and see him go on stretches doing nothing on the offense side of the puck and am convinced he is done and he all of a sudden goes on a huge stretch of games scoring a ton of goals and being clutch. Hes hard to read, I keep expecting him to drop off and then he goes off. Has good playoffs stats too, I dont think teams will regret trading for and signing him, provided is not more than $8 mill per season..People are going to have serious buyers remorse trading for Boeser and signing him long term.

Just to be clear, is this Boeser not wanting to re-sign or the Canucks wanting to move on? I read some comments from Boeser the other day, but wasn't sure.
They often are.Sheesh. That is an expensive rental.
Cam Robinson of Elite Prospects who has recently become a very reliable source said the following in an interview.
He asked a few teams what the cost would be for Boeser.... Robinson said most teams said ...
A 1st round pick either 2025 or 2026 + a legit prospect.
He then defines what a "legit prospect" means and mentions a young player that used to be a 1st round pick, or a player in the AHL ready to break into the NHL. Centre or Defence.
He said there is lots of interest in Boeser because he has shown he can score 40 goals and even though he dealt with concussion this year, he is still pacing for 30. He also mentions that teams like that Boeser has shown up and perform in the playoffs and teams love paying for goal scorers. The other advantage is that Boeser is only 28 and teams want to not only trade for him but extend him and not just have him as a rental.
Sounds like the Canucks can get some major assets to revamp their lineup if they choose to trade Boeser. Boeser is well loved in the room and in the community however and it would set the Canucks back having to replace his scoring. Canucks already having trouble scoring with Boeser on the roster.
You've warped the trade to bear no resemblance to anything going on in this thread. What's the point of saying this?I'd give them Othmann and the 2027 1st for him but they have to take Kreider back, no rentenzies. And they'd have to throw Garland in.

He’s also got size and strength that goes under the radar. He’s got a lot of upper body strength and is strong on his skates, making him good around the net and in the corners. He’s isn’t very aggressive with it so it’s low key. Almost never see Boeser get knocked off his skates or pushed around after the play. One dimensional is probably one of the things Boeser is not. He’s not a Selke level defensive player but he can hold his own.
Sorry to go off topic but that was sick.I live in Vancouver, honestly I also live in Coquitlam. Born and Raised in the Lower Mainland, but you know good try bud. I have watched him his whole career in Vancouver, met him, and I also worked on NHL at EA in Burnaby in the Phase 2 building for 5 years, also I am credited on the games. I am sitting here at Woody's chuckling that some dickhead from somewhere near me is so presumptuous.
Just wait em out, the price will go down
I don't disagree but where are all these 1sts round picks coming from?
Competitive teams are running out of picks.
Reliable defensively ? This is the first time I have ever heard thar description applied to BB. At this asking price, I assume he will remain in Vancouver.Boeser is a strange player, but TLDR is he's an excellent player as long as he's on a good team.
He can score 40 goals with a playmaking center and not just anyone can do that.
So if you're a good team looking for scoring on the wing, you should be interested. But he's very much a product of his environment, so if you're a bad team lacking talent I don't think he'd help as much as you'd think he would in a vacuum.
Strong along the boards, strong on the puck, reliable defensively, high IQ, but can't PK and can't be played 3on3 because of his horrendous first few steps.
Selective reading or hearing must have been the issue, or you just have no idea and don’t watch the canucks. Him and miller matched up against the other teams top line and were great. He is absolutely respectable to good defensively, not sure where your “hot take” has come from? (Made up?)Reliable defensively ? He literally just spent last season with Miller shutting down every teams top line. With great success to 1st place in the division.Reliable defensively ? This is the first time I have ever heard thar description applied to BB. At this asking price, I assume he will remain in Vancouver.
