By this I think he want to say Seguin is ready to play in the NHL but not ready to dominated like they think Hall can in his first year.

Last we saw of Tyler Seguin he was neutralized by the Windsor Spitfires and every team in the NHL is better than them.

pierre mcguire is the biggest pos on tv
he will always say something negative about any positive aspect of any player
"HE JUST SCORED 50 GOALS!!"
"Yes but look how it went it. Off the defenders foot, he got very lucky with that one"

Pierre = no clue.

As someone that was fine with the Hall pick, the reason I was going to be OK with Seguin is his maturity.

Skill + maturity + work ethic = NHL ready

Phil Kessel wouldn't have been neutralized by the Spits! You can bet your last loonie on that!

Honestly, why do you even bother? You have a transparent agenda and blindly defend any move the Leafs make. It apparently doesn't take much for you to devote your undying loyalty given the Leafs' total lack of success since...forever.

I thought that I was making a legitimate point but apparently not.

To help you calm down there is a much bigger group of posters that think that Savard can be traded because Seguin can step right into the top 6 and you can read what they write.

Seguin could end up scoring 30 goals in his first season and mooseoOAK would still find a way to belittle him.

You mean the Spitfires that had a handful of 1st rounders on it playing the Whalers with one (Seguin)?

Oh, I am sure Seguin being the only offensive threat on the Whalers never entered the minds of the Spits coach and powerhouse team. Surely not.

He was shutdown by the line of Scott Timmins (6th round pick), Justin Shugg (4th round pick), and Kenny Ryan (2nd round pick).

I know that Windsor is a tough team but that is when the superstars are supposed to play their best, or am I wrong?

That stuff happens. Just let it go for once.

You don't like Seguin? Fine. In Boston, we're thrilled to have the OHL's MVP and top scorer (along with Hall). Is he NHL ready? That CANNOT be determined until the beginning of the season.

He's not going to be Calder-winning but to say he's unready for the NHL is dumb.

Burmistrov might be unready for being so light (but he's at 175 combine, so he can make it), but Seguin's going to play. Might not have a big statistical impact but still do good.

It is going to be interesting too see what happens to Hall and Seguin when the roles are reversed.

Hall going to a team that doesn't have as much talent as Boston and Seguin playing with better players.

Don't get me wrong I think both players will be very good NHLers but it is interesting to see how each player, plays in a different situation.
