The kid must be a bust.

Really.

He is probably a player in Minn or Atl. Is he in Boston or Vancouver or another deep team? Maybe not.

Who cares, how many amazing players took 1 to 5 years to make it? Parise, Toews, Bogosian, AND MORE!

Lay off, Seguin will be a PPG player for his whole long career.

Since AHL is out and CHL might not develop him best, I'll say it's time for Jarmo Kekäläinen to prove he's a god in GM's clothing and get him to play for Jokerit next season. :D

for his sake it would be better for him if he returns to junior because Claude Julien is absolutely TERRIBLE when it comes to handling young players

Milan Lucic, Blake Wheeler, David Krejci, Matt Hunwick, and Adam McQuaid all say hello...

Julien also had a decent track record with some youngsters in NJ as well. You need to get over the fact that Clode is not your coach anymore.

ps Seguin will be in BOS next year as either a 3rd line center (if Savard is traded) or as a Top 6 RW.

What he should of said was "he doesn't need to make an immediate impact for Boston, they already have a good team built around him". It's a good situation for him to come in, knowing he doesn't have to carry the pressure of re-building a team like Hall will in Edmonton.

I'm surprised McGuire could comment on Seguin considering his mouth was full of Taylor Hall's balls.

Honestly, I'm already sick and tired of McGuire's love affair with Hall. I will not watch a TSN game that features the Oilers this year. Hall joins Pronger and Richards among others that Pierre has a love affair with.
You forgot Claude "The Monnnster" Giroux...oh, and Dion Phaneuf but not so much now that he dons the Maple Leaf.

I cant ****ing stand how Pierre talks about his opinions as if they are 100% certainty.

At least McKenzie is a little more humble with his opinions, and offers a bit of reason.

At least McGuire knows SOME of the players. If you watched other guys at other networks you would understand how much more knowledgeable he is compared to magority of commentators.

If there was ever a top 2 pick that wasn't nhl ready it's Seguin.

As a B's fan... I also worry about this. Claude loves his vets and will use them to the point of wanting to pull your own hair out.

He'll certainly have a harder time cracking a non-lottery team in boston

I don't think so. The B's have more trouble scoring goals than the majority of the lottery teams this year. I think he'll make the team pretty easily especially since he can play wing that said he is a relatively young player in terms of development time. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept him in junior just to be safe.

He said Gormley is the most NHL ready/reliable player drafted, and that Hall is more NHL ready. I wouldn't overthink what McGuire says on draft night. The guy was :eek::eek::eek:ing 90% of the night. He would've asked anyone to marry him for a post-blow smoke.

Pierre is the real Santa Claus. On any given night he can be standing between the benches doing commentary in Edmonton, amateur scouting in Plymouth and Chelyabinsk, and pro scouting in Boston.

maybe pierre is bitter since seguin didn't let him get inside his comfort zone at the combine

Sequin certainly showed excellent judgement there.

If anyone mishandles the kid, I think it will be management if they trade away Savard and raise the stakes and expectations too high for Sequin.

Then if Julien tries to bring him along at a pace where Sequin can learn and contribute, rather than throwing him to the wolves, people will say Sequin isn't having an impact and isn't ready.

Either way you can bank on people jumping to conclusions.

Compare to Doughty in LA - that was sink or swim and fortunately Drew could swim quite well.

That about says it all. :handclap:

Whether Seguin is, or isn't, Boston doesn't need to rush him. There's no dire need for Seguin to be in the lineup asap.
