CHL rental deals have always been bonkers.Holy crap, that's a lot of picks to give up for someone that probably won't be there next season.

Clearly a superstar in the Dub. I hope they don't rush him to Buffalo next year.
If not for the injury in the rookie tournament, he may have made the opening roster. *shrug*
They don't have enough roster spots though. They can't keep just pushing fresh players into the lineup and expect to get any better. I'm assuming a couple of the first round guys will be used in trades, maybe one of the NHL kid line too. In the meantime, Savoie is an enjoyable player.
And point #5... assist on the PP to Firkus. All primaries.
That explains the empty seats.(Also, apparently -52° C in Moose Jaw tonight.)
This was his third assist -
I would trade Rosen.Hol' up. You're allowed to make a play, even shoot, from down low on the PP? Interesting.
That's about as easy an assist as Savoie will get. Hope he scores a boat load of points in the Dub to drive up his trade value. Not hoping he gets traded necessarily, but we can't fit all of these guys in during the next season or two - Savoie, Rosen, Kulich, Ostlund.
Especially with Benson looking like a keeper.
This stat line is hilarious
So are the Wenatchee and Rochester lines. This stat line is hilarious
34 points in 19 games with 4 different teams in one season (not including the WJC). Pretty good for bouncing around so much and dealing with 2 different injuries. This stat line is hilarious

I highly doubt Savoie was ready for the show, but to play him 4 minutes in his NHL debut is insulting. It's consistent with the braindead manner in which this franchise is being run.
4 minutes != "ice time"Of all the criticism this franchise deserves, giving young players ice time isn’t one of them.
