Oleksii has an amazing opportunity for the huskies. High scoring wingers and he could step in to the lineup next season as a third line or even second line centre. Than next year get the top spot before draft. Remember to draft eligible till 2021. He will have the chance to play with elite offensive weapons such as Beaucage, Lauko.
I think that Lauko will be in AHL next season. Thats the reason why Huskies drafted Adrian Valigura in second round.
Yeah Lauko should almost for sure be playing pro hockey next season, there was even speculation he would not play juniors this past season. Valigura and Myklukha, two Slovaks with different last names/ethnicities other than Slovak will be the imports. Myklukha of Ukrainian roots and Valigura, Spanish maybe?
Russian/Ukrainian is most likely but have seen Brazilian with that last name , I meant Portuguese.

There were a 100+ men with that surname in Slovakia in 1995, especially in Eastern Slovakia. I would assume it's probably Rusyn in origin as there are plenty of them in that part of Slovakia. Nothing to suggest that he or his family aren't from Slovakia.

Besides Southern Brazil used to be a fairly major destination for emigrants from Transcarpathia, so it would not be unusual to find a name of such origin there.

He didn’t play in any preseason games but I’m assuming he’ll be the second international alongside valigura who supposedly looked quite good himself. Oleksii has a big opportunity this year

Not good news for Oleksii, it’s looking more like he will not be playing for huskies. His transfer request was refused but the huskies have appealed that decision. If the appeal is not successful, I don’t know where he will be playing. However, it sounds like he is in constant communication with the team and really wants to play for them.

I’m not sure. That’s between the huskies and the international hockey federation. I don’t want to speculate, but as @alko said, it could be money related. I’ve also heard of times where players were trying to transfer to North America, and out of bad personal relationship someone in the federation made the request more difficult.

Supposedly he is still under contract this season for red bull and that’s why the transfer is being refused
