C Oleksii Myklukha - Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, QMJHL (2021 Draft)

So he was born in Poland to Ukrainian family, then ditched Ukraine for Slovakia to get citizenship, as soon as that happened moved to Austria and now is messaging every day about wanting to play in Canada. Cool kid.

So you want him to play in Polish juniors?

How did you reach this conclussion out of what I have written?
I just think hopping from one country to another almost every year isn't ideal for his development. If CHL was his goal all along he could have easily picked the path which wouldn't have obstructed it. And since he is indeed stuck in Austria now (by nobody's fault but his own, really) he might as well focus on the task at hand.
And it's not even so much what he should or shouldn't do, I just find his development path to be very unique and interesting. Slightly amusing, even.

He literally was just drafted and was eligible for the first time to play in the CHL this year, but Red Bull denied him doing so, and he wouldn't have been drafted at such an early age if he had stayed in Slovakia.

What's your point, exactly? 1) He could have chosen some country other than Slovakia to begin with. 2) as a Slovak citizen he could have moved to almost any other country (Finland, Sweden, USA) if he wanted to play in the CHL. It was his decisions every step of the way.

He wants to further his development any way possible by playing against the highest competition he can?

If that was the most important thing wouldn't he have chosen Sweden, for example, and not Austria? There were obviously other factors at play, not only the competition level.

Any updates on this kid? Chromiak just transfered to OHL. Could Myklukha play for Rouyn-Noranda? I believe the Q trade deadline is coming up, so last chance for him.

Otherwise, could he come over to Canada next season?

I have only seen articles which stated that he will report next season.

His stats are not impressive in this league then, doesn't seem like he's that special.
He’s playing on Red bulls u18 team which plays up in the u20 league. Obviously his stats are not going to be as impressive as last year which was a weaker league. It’s like when people are talking about Eduard Sale and Dom Pete’s numbers being down, the leagues both u16 and u20 are stronger then they were last year based on stats and on eye test alone. If u saw him at U18 tournament, you will not say that’s he’s not special.

Hockey skills?
Have you seen this guy? He has great hockey sense. He reminds me Reway very much. In last U18 tournament he made 7 points in 4 games and it was not such as low category tournament - Czechia, Finland, strong Germany (which won against Finns and Czechs) and Swiss.
I would not say it was in his skills but in his physical parameters. I hope he will be little bit stronger next year.
I can imagine him as a 1st liner with Maxim Cajkovic and Martin Chromiak. That could be our power..
But remember he is still late 2002.

I agree needs to add strength. he is very good 2 way forward, reminds me bit of David Krejci. Good puck skills as well, if he can transition to Qmjhl well next season I think his draft position could surprise some people.
