Didn't play tonight, day to day with some sort of upper body injury.

Apparently related to the surgery he had in the off-season. Hope it isn't something that's reoccurring this season
On a positive note he could fall in the draft like Chychrun which could give the Jets a shot at him....... I honestly don't know how well we will do this season going with a full youth movement and already losing our 2nd line center for an undetermined amount of time.
Well after watching the Canucks this season I figured I should spend more time in this thread learning about this guy.
Not much information has been made public, but it appears to be an upper-body injury. It was originally day-to-day, but now it's been two weeks since the injury was diagnosed. Can somebody fill me in on what his injury is exactly and when he's expected back?

Brandon center Nolan Patrick, a candidate to be the first pick of the 2017 NHL Draft, is day to day because of an upper-body injury, a team spokesman said Friday.
Patrick, an A-rated skater on NHL Central Scouting's preliminary players to watch list, is out against Prince Albert at Westman Place in Brandon, Manitoba, on Friday. He will be re-evaluated Saturday, when Brandon is scheduled to play at Prince Albert.
In six games, Patrick, 18, is tied for the Brandon scoring lead with nine points (four goals, five assists).
Patrick had surgery in July to repair a sports hernia but returned in time to play in Brandon's season opener against Moose Jaw on Sept. 23, and had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss.

I want to thank HFboards and all the posters here for their wonderful hospitality.
With the 1st overall pick, Vancouver selects from the Brandon Wheat Kings, NOLAN PATRICK!!!

If you think the Canucks will be lucky enough to win the draft lottery you haven't been paying attention to their history.
With the way things are going in Nuckland it's possible but you guys gotta go full tank to make it I think. Get that last overall top lotto % and bring Patty to Vancity. Would actually love to see him on my second favourite team. Would like him in the Peg more hopefully the likelihood of that is minimal.
Big centre Nolan Patrick, the presumptive No. 1 pick in this year's draft, has been out of the Brandon Wheat King lineup since Oct. 11. Patrick isn't expected back for another two-to-three weeks. He had sports hernia surgery in the off-season. There were fears he would need the same procedure done on the other side, but the prognosis now is for some rest and rehab. It's expected he will be ready before Dec. 11, but how much hockey will he have played?
This is the most in-depth report I've seen on Patrick's injury so far, and his WJC chances.

As long as he's close to full health he'll be there. But, we don't want a repeat of Point last year who clearly was out of game shape. The good thing about Patrick is he can slot all over the line-up, so he can play a reduced role quite effectively, unlike Point who needed to be on a scoring line.Canada is too crappy for him to not even make it, even if he's a little rusty or whatever.
The downside is... he hasn't played for a while.....
The upside is, he's fully rested.
but yea,... our team is to crappy to see him not even make it.
He's not a sure thing, but I think he'll be a number 1. He has Toews like traits (the thing is Toews manages to get 110% out of his abilities), but a more realistic projection might be Sean Monahan.Anyone seen this guy in action?
whats his abilities like? Is he a franchice number 1?
is he even a number 1?
number 2? Cause if he's only a number 2 centreman, then this years draft is pretty much a wash.
