I like the trajectory of his development. Big growth spurt in 1 year. 1 more big jump and you are looking at a really solid 2nd line C that can drive play around his wingers in a few years.

One of my favorite players in the draft. Hopefully his frame is able to get up into the high 180s low 190s. If he is lucky enough to gain another inch on height that would be huge for him.

With Öhgren, & Lekkerimäki going to WJCs, Östlund has practiced on a line with Krüger, & Daniel Brodin, with Djurgården's coach saying they're spreading out the lines right now considering the former two are away.

He also says no lineup decisions have been made, but that the junior trio's line is "very, very good together." They won't make any decisions line-wise, will let the lines come to them, but that of course they've had an idea when they've signed who they've signed.

Calls Östlund an incredibly smart player, says he could play as a dman. And everything.

Says the trio will have big roles, as they're that skilled.

I actually preferred him ahead of Lekkerimaki based off of potential alone but I can see why Lek went ahead of him. But Ohgren is just a smart player. I'm honestly surprised he wasn't higher in the draft.

Östlund has played on the 1st line all pre-season long(on the wing... Sigh), Öhgren's still injured, Lekkerimäki's opposite wing linesmate is out so he, & Rensfeldt played on an "incomplete" line listed as 4th, & Odelius' placement is w/e: Djurgården needs to bring in 2 good dmen stat because their d core sucks.

Couldn't agree more. I think they are all intelligent players but Ostlund's brain is on a different level imo.

Djurgården played 8 in total, 2 of those against SHL teams(Frölunda, & HV71). IIRC they never really switched up their roster.
