I mean he was 4th in the league for points, not sure what more he can do...

Hes not wrong though. He didnt really improve much on last year. Theres always something to improve on. He was really poor in the playoffs as well. He was 5th on the TEAM in points in the playoffs. Not saying hes a bad prospect. He didnt regress either.

Funny because most sites and videos that I saw claimed that he did improve from last year.

An 18/19 year old prospect who was drafted 12th overall who had back to back top point finishes in the OHL who IMPROVED from his draft year should not be available for trade. Especially for Pacioretty with 1 year left on his deal (on top of Tatar and a second). Im not saying Suzuki is a bad prospect, most teams just dont view him as a top 20 prospect in the league otherwise he would still be a Knight. Of course this could be all thrown out the window if Mcphee has a mental illness.

Well his season was as an 18 year old and he still did very well. I agree that he isn't a top 20 prospect, but still a damn good one.

He had 100 point this year, no one else on his team even had 70.

The previous year, He wasn’t even the top scorer on his team and the Attack had a half dozen players with 80+.

He definitely improved and was Owen Sounds best player by a fair margin.

Kotkaniemi ahead? Meh, sure. I’d argue that he’s pretty clearly your second best prospect, though, even if Poehling, Juulsen, and Scherbak are closer to making an impact.
Yes, Kotka is 100% ahead of him, there's no way around it.

And yes, he pushes everyone down one spot, which gives us an awesome top 9.

Kotkaniemi
Suzuki
Scherback
Poehling
Juulsen
Ylonen
Brook
Oloffson
Hillis

I’ve been high on Brook for a long time. How has he been in these prospect games?

He was our best defenseman and player. Good in every zones, and brought offense. Really liked his physical play too.

his passing and shot and skills are very good...he is smallish though, and is only a good skater, he might need to be a great skater to play nhl center but should be a good winger at least

Forsberg says Hi!

He traded Forsberg for Erat, he's not above trading stud prospects for help now

Suzuki would have had more points, however his linemates, Hancock and Gadjovich both were out with injuries for a period of time. Suzuki is a great play maker but needs to build some muscle and get stronger. Great hockey sense, tends to wait for puck to come to him but will go to the dirty areas if needed.

He did improve last year. Watched him all season as I lived in OS and he played at a 100 point pace when both of his line mates, and the teams best puck moving dman sat injured for almost 2 months.

He didn't take massive steps but considering he put up 100 points while playing with 3rd liners for 2 months i'd say thats improvement.

Also Matt Sanderson wrote a little bit on Zuke. Read here.

Thanks! I kind of wish I saw more from him in the preseason. However, another year in junior and a year in the AHL would really do him some good.

He's going to have a massive year.

He's got his line mate from the past 3 seasons Kevin Hancock back (80+ point guy)
He's likely going to be the captain. The Attack are built for a long run. He's likely going to be playing for TC at the World Juniors. This is going to be a massive year for him. Whatever steps forward he took in camp and during the preseason, expect double next year.

I'm curious to see if he will play center all year or switch with Hancock again.
