In the OHL finals and the Memorial Cup McTavish constantly produced when his team needed him to. In the final, obviously came up short.

One thing I would like him to improve, and by observation this is something Eakins would ask him as well, is for him to play with more pace. That will be a challenge next year because he will have very little time to work out

You’ve got a top-3 player of all time, an all-star caliber player, a very good 2 way center and Tyler Raddysh for the players who we can realistically label at this time, I don’t see how that’s underwhelming, unless you’re expecting every player who scores 4 goals at the WJC to become a superstar.

Yes. Mine with Zegras and Terry will be helped too. Could have had McTavish too but I took Guenther instead.

Gagne had multiple 40 goal seasons, Schenn is a really good player who has hit 70 pts, Bedard and McTavish are still juniors, too early to completely write Comtois off as well. If Bedard/MacT become stars it will actually be a very impressive group with one or 2 outliers in Comtois an Raddysh

Zegras, but McTavish is going to be a very good C too. They are in pretty good hands to have both at C.

Zegras has more upside , at least offensively. I think zegras ends up 1c, while mctavish ends up 2c or playing with zegras(or bedard )

They will both get big minutes if they develop as expected. Zegras probably gets easier match-ups and usage at home, and McTavish will likely be used as their match-up guy.

well I envision a future where maybe McTavish plays on the wing with Zegras and is his trigger man

Zegras is one of those guys that can see a play before most others do and he can execute them so I think its him

McTavish will play some at center and some at zegras wing similar to Drai with McDavid (but a Walmart version)

Gagne had two good seasons, more of an outlier than anything else. Schenn I would say is above average but below “really good”.

Considering some of the great Canadian players we’ve had…. That’s underwhelming

All star caliber and very good are being quite generous for Gagne and Schenn
