Probably 1 junior season, 1 ahl season. Depending on team that drafts him maybe it only becomes 1 year and he forces their hand.

He can't do that, he can only play in the AHL after 2 more seasons due to his age. Basically it's either OHL or NHL for Perfetti for the next 2 seasons.

I believe they were in discussion to potentially change this rule. Ie allow exemptions etc. I wasn't aware of his late birthday but you may be right as things currently stand.
The other one must have been taken down for some reason. Here is another that is very similar from this year.

Not out of the realm of possibility, but letting Perfetti get to 10 would be a huge mistake to make for at least 2 or 3 teams.

I think Lafreniere, Stützle, perfetti, Raymond, Holtz, Byfield, Drysdale and Rossi are locked to go top 8. I do think Perfetti will fall to 8 but not further.

One of the top prospects in this draft with the puck on his stick.
Hard enough to lock in a top 3 at a draft, let alone a top 8. Sure, this could be the top 8, but it’s far from certain at this point. There’s always surprises at the draft. The likes of Sanderson, Lundell, Askarov, Quinn, Zary and others could end up in the mix.

Sometimes the larger pool is easier predict because it has a clearer drop off after it. Last year, Ottawa picked 19th, many people correctly predicted the top 18 but got the placements wrong. Looking at a lot of lists last year, we were hoping for any Dman in the top 18 to fall a single place, and it didn't happen.
This kid is really a special player other than his skating...if he can improve on that one area sufficiently, watch out. If he can play center I see a Datsyuk-like player, makes brilliant and high-skill plays look easy. He really is a pretty weak skater at the moment, though.

More straight line and acceleration but his edges and tight space skating is fine if not good imo. He can improve those first steps and his straight line speed.

I recently watched all his points from the past two years. There was over 80 goals and you had to remind yourself that you were not watching a highlite tape...it was simply all his goals.

Nice kid too. Interviewed him for about 30 minutes a few weeks ago. Told him I watched all his points and we spoke about a few of them. He know exactly what I was referring to when I referenced a certain goal or assist.

It's crazy he was already so dominant in his -1 draft year...
Also interesting that his goal total stayed steady at 37 while he doubled his assists totals from 2018-19 to 2019-20
I see so much Nick Suzuki when I watch Cole Perfetti. Very aware of who is around him and how much space he has in tight areas on the ice and can turn even the smallest mistake into a high quality shot or pass.

I’ve been using this comparison for over a season now, but with Suzuki sticking at center, I think it may be less apt. Although, it’s possible Perfetti does the same thing and is capable of sticking at center. I doubt it, but this kid might have the sense to do so.
