Well. The other side of my opinion is I think Fantilli has the tools for a higher upside. Just gonna depend on who is developed better.This. I think Carlsson becomes the better player, way too talented, smooth and too much hockey IQ

NHL teams have scouting resources that none of pronman, wheeler, hockeyprospect.com, mckeens etc come even remotely close to. Yet people seem to think the latter ones form the "consensus".
Bob’s final rankings had Fantilli at #2 9/10 times.
I thought they were very close but plenty of people liked to say there’s a clear gap
The reports were that the league was 50/50 Carlsson at #2.
Even so, I don't really care what the consensus was. I trust the Ducks amateur scouts more then any other team.
I get what you are saying, but that doesn't mean the other reports were wrong that the league as a whole was split.
But doesn’t Bob get his info by actual NHL teams?
& again I thought they were close but Bobs is by far the best in the business
Bob himself tried to really hammer home that (for the rankings) he only talks with 10 teams and how the prospects they ended up ranking 2-5 may not go where they ranked them. Fantilli & the Ducks especially so.I actually am now wondering if Bob's sources are now former scouts? Or at least less connected? Corey Pronman had Carlsson going to the Ducks in his mock and said "A majority of my league sources think this will be Leo Carlsson. Some think it will be Fantilli."
2023 NHL Mock Draft: After Connor Bedard goes No. 1, Corey Pronman sees room for surprise
Who will go No. 2? It could be Leo Carlsson or Adam Fantilli. And Matvei Michkov remains a wild card at the top of the draft.theathletic.com

Also there is a zero % chance that Anaheim is one of those teams. They keep everything very tight lipped.
Pardon me if that doesn’t verify anything. Rumors are rumors. No one claimed to have a source in the Ducks. They never leak anything. There were all sorts of rumors that they were taking Leo flying around all week before the draft
Only D+1 forwards to break 60 points or on pace to since 2010 were Mackinnon, McDavid and Matthews.Carlsson will probably play in the SHL next season, but if he played in the NHL what would your prediction be? 15-25-40? or something like 20-40-60?
Only D+1 forwards to break 60 points or on pace to since 2010 were Mackinnon, McDavid and Matthews.
Carlsson is going to be a stud 1C one day but he probably isn't touching close to 60 in his first year.

And Jeff Skinner in 2010-11. And Laine.RNH?
Laine and Skinner also did it.Only D+1 forwards to break 60 points or on pace to since 2010 were Mackinnon, McDavid and Matthews.

I'm fine with that or a year in the AHL where he may get better chance to place center and used to NA ice. Most likely another season in the SHL
His focus this off-season has been his first three steps, and his strength, which is what everybody would have wanted him to focus on, so he's got you covered.I'm fine with that or a year in the AHL where he may get better chance to place center and used to NA ice.
At least it wont be 2 or more years like with Michkov.
I want to see him work more on his skating. On the physical side I don't think he'll develop a mean streak like Hampus Lindholm who like to hit so I'd rather see him focus on skating and turn it into a giant plus. I think his shot is fine, his high IQ will enable him to use it more smartly imo.
