Reminds me of Connor staring on the 3rd line in 16, then they were like we need to give this kid more ice.
They are going to be forced to give him more and more time as the season progresses I think

Love having him and Beniers develop together on the same line and switch out Becker or Lambert for the experience

He’s clearly the top forward in the draft at this point. The Pettersson comparison is pretty solid.

Still, I struggle to say he’s the top pick right now, when I see so much Victor Hedman in Power and Seth Jones in Clarke.

The only thing I am set on is that it’s hilarious how many rankings still have Raty above any of that trio.

Clarke is alot more dynamic than Jones (who I love as a player BTW) reminded me of a young Larry Robinson when I was him live in the DUB.

Is Kent Johnson going to be a contender for 1st oa? He looks like dynamite. Would love to draft this guy
I don’t see it right now but I’d be shocked if he falls out of the top 7 at this point. There’s a lot of runway for him to become the 1OA guy but he’s not in the tier with Clarke and Power for me right now.

His speed and skill he’ll be at least top 5 if not top 3...and he has just a good of shot at going 1 as anyone

In this case, really don’t hate to say I told you so. Guy is dynamite. Glad he’s already turning heads.

This Beniers - Johnson line just gets it.

Like their past 3 shifts have been 20-30 seconds off offensive possession like they are on a power play with like 3 scoring chances each shift. They spend the entire time in the offensive zone.

It was a clinic when they were on the ice. Granted ASU isnt very strong, but these two have a shot to put up some numbers together

Umm, or maybe his teammate Owen Power? Power is the clear #1 favourite at this point.

Pretty insane for Michigan though likely 2 top 5 picks and likely 3 top 10 picks. Heck of a class from them.

Could be 6 current or future michigan first rounders in next years draft alone, and 4 of the top 10. Power, Johnson, Beniers, Luke Hughes, Mackie Samoskevich, and Dylan duke.

Thanks to @Pavel Buchnevich for pointing me to the Big10 package, it’s been fun to watch so far.

If anyone is looking for some entertainment pre NHL/whatever else, UMich is it.

I honestly do not see the infatuation with Power besides his size and mobility, he is very offensive minded but his defensive game is weak, he was beat 3-4 times tonight off the rush, and his stick for a big guy is not the best. Very good under pressure and making plays though. For me he’s 10-15.

Defense is also the harder position to learn. It's one game and he looked incredible at generating offense. But again, the sample size is tiny so let's pump the breaks okay?

No problem. I bought it a few years back, thought I was going to use it regularly, only used it once, then called to cancel, and they were very nice about it.

It's a higher level than he's ever played at. It'll be an adjustment. There's no reason to think he projects as a below-average defensive player going forward.

Theres not a chance there are 9-14 better players than him in this draft. He's a lock as a top 5 barring some type of disastrous season

This kid is phenomenal. If he does not get injured I can see him going 1st overall.

He has it all, good size, oozes skill, shifty and he plays C which is a premium.
