So who gets traded in your opinion?
I see the same inefficiency but it's hard for me to get a good read.

Montreal will be listening, and they'll have plenty of young defensemen to offer.
I'd think it depends on what's being offered but I'd assume any winger prospects would be available (Kulich, Rosen, Savoie, Poltapov), and centers like Ostlund or Krebs.

I'm not sure they'd be looking to move any roster players unless it's a blockbuster-type of trade.

I think it was the right call. Keep him there till after the Jrs please! Glad he got his cup of coffee. Shame it didn't last longer but I'm not sure what the point of 2 offensive rookies in the bottom 6 of a blowout was supposed to accomplish.lol

It’s also a reward and a huge moment for Kulich. Sometimes we all are so focused as fans you lose track of the small things. He’s a teenager who got to go play an NHL game for a few minutes. I’m sure it was one of the best moments of his life and something he’ll never forget.

Giving that to a player while they are developing in the AHL is something.

Totally agree, also a nice payday for a few days as his NHL salary is probably 10x his AHL one.

Exactly what young Dmen would Montreal be offering and for whom?

Certainly not for Kulich.

Will Kulich be with the Sabres after the tournament? Or let him cook in Rochester for the rest of the season and then likely make the team next season?

His shot is NHL-level and it was very obvious at the WJC. Every time he shot, he looked like Patrik Laine among the U20 kids.
I agree. To me, he should be in the NHL. Buffalo is 18th in goals for so they could definitely use him right now. He is not a defensive liability. Give him a fair chance with more than 15 minutes a game and I think he will produce.

This.. put him with a Top 6 playmaker and give him offensive chances.

Bringing him on 4th line and giving him 8 minutes with non scorers won't work.

He's on the same trajectory as Quinn and Peterka were, developing in the AHL to the point they stand out so much there they'll have no choice but to play him. He has the same upside as those 2 also.
