Please don't disrespect Gauthier by comparing him to Lindros. That's like comparing Bozak to Crosby. Bozak is obviously the much better player, as is Gauthier.

I remember when fans used to wonder how great Gretzky would have been if he had the size and skating of Lindros. I think we're on the verge of finding out how such a player would transform the game once Gauthier starts his NHL career with the Leafs.

I know that the Leafs are trying to be patient in their development process, but this kid needs to be in the NHL now. Fans can't wait any longer...

Rimouski Océanic fan here. I love Gauthier, and I don't get the hate so many people had with him during the WJC. His acceleration makes him look slow, but I find him to be an excellent skater for someone 6'4. It's true that he doesn't have a really great offensive potential, and that I can't see him becoming more than a 3rd or a 4th liner. But he'll become, I believe, a GREAT defenisve forward, because of his size, his IQ, his vision and his ability to shutdown 1st lines.
