anyone know who the wingers are on his line ? I am assuming Conner Brown is his right wing, Burakovski on his left ?

He has to start scoring. I understand that shot may be not his strongest part of his game, but if you don't even shoot, you won't improve it... Goal scoring > Play making.

No, you just have to have enough of a shot to make the other team respect it.

From the Friday game against London he actually wasn't super noticeable outside 2 great rushes that didn't result in points and setting up Fox's goal I believe. Still very exciting to have the feeling something magical could happen everytime he gets the puck going with some speed.

I guess I won't get to see the kid play on Saturday night after all. According to the Ice Dogs, a high percentage of the seats are gone. The arena is a dump and, if it is packed, I don't want to be uncomfortable for 3 hours.

Oh well, I will buy a pizza and watch him on TV instead.

McDavid is going to be a good one... let's just stop with the Crosby comparison please!!!

2 years before their draft

Crosby: 2.29 PPG
Tavares: 2 PPG (and he has a very early birthday... a few more days and he's drafted in 2008)
Stamkos: 1.46 PPG
Hall: 1.43 PPG
Yakupov: 1.55 PPG
McDavid: 1.87 PPG (so far)

Now I know Crosby did not play in the OHL but it still shows how dominant he was (also keep in mind he has a very late birthday for his draft year).

I think McDavid is going to be better than Tavares but Crosby is in a class of his own.

Crosby was in his first year in the CHL as well, while both Tavares and McDavid are/were on their second.

Mcdavid started slow with only 6 points in his first 6 games. He's on a 9 game multi-point streak. He could very well end up around Tavares and Crosby's numbers.

2 more assists tonight.

Now 30 pts in 16 games. Maybe he will be a pass first guy... Only 5 goals but 25 assists.

I don't know if he'll be considered a pass first guy exactly, he's just going to be a playmaker whether it be with his linemates or on his own. He can definitely score goals it's just not happening right now which is kind of the beautiful part of his game is. Even when he isn't scoring goals himself, he's still able to create offense for his linemates. It's one of those special attributes that separate good players from great players. He has that ability to make those around him better every time he hops on the ice.

Not to take anything away from McDavid but his line mates have nearly identical production to him. That's a luxury Tavares didn't have, neither did Crosby. Both of them had a linemate who got a lot of point shares but they still outscored their nearest teamates by a large margin. McDavid may finish 2nd or 3rd in team scoring (but obviously he could still finish 1st).

Mc David is playing in the OHL which has the lowest scoring of the big 3 junior leagues.

2 points a game at age 16 is phenomenal for the OHL.

Peter Tsimikalis outscored Tavares by 22 points on the Generals Tavares' rookie year and Brett MacLean had one more point in two more games Tavares' third year. So I guess what I'm saying is you're incorrect.

I believe that statistic is outdated. But yeah, 2 PPG is good regardless.
