In Crosby's time in the QMJHL only one non-Oceanic player had more than 98 points. Thee OHL players topped 100 points last year.
Yeah because they were better.

Crosby only does well in the NHL because he had it so easy growing up in the Q. It's the same reason an Eastern Conference team can win the Stanley Cup once in a while. Because they have it so easy playing other pretend teams.

It's science or something. Look it up.

 Its a joke how much they are trying to hype him up. I could see him being a Tavares level player but not Crosby level.

He was barely over Point Per Game as a rookie in juniors last season. Sid had nearly a Goal Per Game in his rookie season in Juniors

McDavid was 15 when he played his first year last year aka 1 year under all the actual rookies in the OHL and Crosby was 16 when he played his first year in the Q.

Ok then compare McDavid's current season to Sid's rookie season. It really makes no difference.

more like reinhart were coming. Buffalo should be better mcdavids draft year.

How so? I expect back to back bottom 5 finishes from this team. I think we are 2-3 years away from a playoff birth, especially with the new playoff format where more teams make the playoffs in the West compared to the East.

If he goes to Buffalo I'll cry. I want one of these superstars to play for a team I actually like for once.

Haven't seen the kid play before, what kind of style does he have? What are his main strengths? Also, how big is he?

Probably about 6-0 but could get bigger, as for weaknesses idk. He is a franchise defining superstar imo. Elite skating, elite hands, elite passer, competes every shift and thinks the game at an elite level.

19 points in 11 games.

Best prospect since Crosby.

McDavid as a 16-year old is much less hyped than Tavares was. Not saying McDavid won't turn out to be better, but Tavares was more hyped.

And people, please stop looking at the numbers. His skill-set and it's likelihood in translating is much more important.

The hype for McDavid at 16 is slightly more than it was for MacKinnon, which is a fair bit less hype than Tavares received. Crosby was in a different stratosphere.

I saw him play last night. At times, it was like the puck was glued to his stick.

So obviously, I asked him, "Hey Connor, what's up with the stick... you put some kinda horse glue on that thing?"

He didn't hear me... and now we're here.
