Bedard would be scoring from centre ice on a regular basis if he was playing 70s-80s goalies.

That's not really a fair assessment. You take the 3rd and 4th liners from teams tosay and they would absolutely annihilate teams from the 70s and 80s in the first period.

Second period soft players from that area would just annihilate your 3rd and 4th liners from today in fights..

He almost certainly will have a better NHL start to his career than Hughes who really looked overwhelmed his first 2 years after that we will see.

I didn't think Hughes was all that overwhelmed in his 2nd season more unfortunate than his rookie season where he was too easy to body off the puck.

The Q was VERY soft at the time. If you contextualize it by league-strength, Bedard is way ahead.

but wait a minute, didn't you use Crosby's 2.8 ppg for 28 games as your reason why Bedard was clearly below? Do you just keep moving the goal posts or are you just never willing to accept they are on the same level?
