Of the three teams with a chance to get him in the 2020 WHL Draft Lottery (Moose Jaw and Tri-City being the other two), Regina was the worst team for him to go to, strictly from a team perspective. The Pats had emptied the cupboards getting to the league final in 2017 and then hosting the Memorial Cup in 2018. Not enough time or assets to recoup and give Bedard a nice supporting cast.One of the greatest tragedies of our time was not being able to see what he could have done with an even half decent hockey team around him
