His shot is absolutely insane. Will challenge for the rocket his rookie year
Wow, He must be really good. So i expect at least two Goals a Game From him. He must be absolutely 3 steps above in Terms of Goal scoring. Lets See If He wins the Rocket at this tournement.

How insane are we talking? Matthews's shooting % was 17.2 this past season, so will Bedard have like 20%? Or will he have superior shot generation? Somehow, it's tough to see either happening.

I know it's highly unlikely in this day and age, but I would love to see him have a little bit of that Eli Manning/Eric Lindros pre-draft attitude and refuse to go certain markets depending on who drafts #1. For example, the thought of him playing for several NHL seasons in a 5,000 seat arena is laughable

Considering he was drafted and reported to Regina in the WHL, I think this is unlikely. It's certainly far from the worst place to be in the WHL, but also not one of the more desirable cities either (I can say this as I am from there).

Looking forward to watching Bedard as the competition/stakes increase. He has the tendency to get a bit fancy and try too much in blowout games. He can simplify his game when he needs to and still be effective, and what makes him truly special is his ability to create offence out of thin air in tight checking games where scoring chances are few and far between.

I don't think this will happen anymore

It seems his release generates more power bit doesn't come off as quick

I dunno 98 in blue and gold would look fitting

The way he drags the puck to get a better shooting angle reminds me of Matthews. His super long stick reminds me of Zuccarello. But the idea to put so much downward pressure down on the stick to store slinging energy is new.

will be super impressive if he is better than matthews. matthews is a horse but in vision and playmaking bedard is better.
His skating is also much more dynamic and has progressed greatly in the last year as it was my biggest concern for him.

I have no idea whether he'll be as good as Matthews, but he is 100% a better prospect than Matthews at the same age.
