Crazy goal. Did the Matthews celebration too lol. Interesting that he's a RHS. Most of the uber-hyped 1st overall centers (Crosby, Tavares, McDavid, Matthews etc.) have been LHS. Might be the best RHS center prospect since Lindros, depending on what one thinks of Eichel, MacKinnon, Stamkos etc. at the same age.

Bedard gives me modern day Joe Sakic vibes but right handed
His elite qualities are just so visually appealing its reminiscent of legends and the current greats, his shot is unreal probably his most lethal trait but those hands he is pure filth, i have a hard time not seeing him being a constant threat for the ross and rocket during his prime

Got a primary assist and then an absolute laser to tie it 3-3. He was pretty stifled for the first half but came on in the 3rd so far.

Edit: 6-3 oil kings, too many penalties taken and just too deep of a team for Regina but Bedard in the 3rd was easily the best player on the ice.

Laser is right! Beating Cossa, too.

I'm not so sure. I hope so but... let's wait.

Yeah never wrong to be patient as he develops.

His shot is already there for me. It's one of the best for his age.

The rest you're right. His body will have to catch up with the shot. But I think 2-3 years of development will turn Bedard into a world-class sniper that can create his shot at will due to his hands and shifty skating.

Pats need to put a better team around him, i believe he has tremendous playmaking ability that gets overshadowed by his shot and lack of overall surrounding talent, he has the potential to be the most complete offensive player, his shot, hands, skating, vision, and iq are all elite to me even though his numbers this year are underwhelming for a player of his caliber though they're not bad just not reflective of the talent he is which is a tremendously talented player not quite generational yet but wouldn't be surprised if he ends up that his overall skillset points towards him being a potential all time great

It’s pretty unlikely, but Bedard needs 59 points in his final 26 games to surpass McDavid’s ppg pace from the his D -1 season. He would need to continue his torrid pace since the WJC do to make it happen.

If he manages it, as a player 6 months younger, and with a much higher goal rate, the hype will go through the roof.

Not to mention the MASSIVE disparity in the supporting cast that McD had over what is in Regina.

He’s scoring at the highest ever rate for a 16-year old in the WHL by a huge margin, despite starting the year with only 10 points in his first 14 games.

The makeup of the team from a forward perspective is really odd to see on a CHL team. The youngest forwards on the team are their best, and most of the older vets haven't been particularly good. It'll be interesting to see what they do. They have played better since Paddock took over though, and it coincides with Bedard taking off.
