Not sure why that bothers posters. Just because someone on HF does not like him, it won't change anything.

Besides, the same poster (NOT directed at anyone - just in general) who runs Bedard down, would praise Bedard if he played for their country. People see what they want to see.
It never bothered me and still doesn't. It's the fact that people are impatient and want to bring prospects down social media despite the fact that they are just teenagers. It's embarrassing to me.

His acceleration to challenge the defenseman there was the key to making that work. They got so caught off guard by how quickly he closed in that he overcommitted to Bedard going wide and made the mistake of trying to poke check.

It's the little things that players like Bedard and McDavid do to challenge and fool the opposition at full speed that sets them apart from everyone else.

Bedard honestly could be the rebirth of Sakic, but maybe even Trottier. I hope this kid can grow as well.

He is on fire ever since he started the season cold (10 pts in first 14 games)

I really hope the Canucks are able to draft the hometown kid somehow

Well they probably could have if they kept Benning.

As good as he is, and he is my number 1 for 23 there are 5-10 other really great picks that would be top 3 this year IMO and that number could very well rise too.

But maybe the 22 draft will turn out better than it has looked recently after the Covid stuff.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Vancouver is at the very least a bubble team next year. Demko alone gives them a floor that is beyond the lottery teams.

Sure and this year we were supposed to be a playoff team and I also think Miller is getting traded so who knows.

If it wasn't for Travis Green you are a playoff team this year.

No I don't think so we have some major problems with our team starting with EP40 just not playing very well.

Outside of Miller, Hughes and the goaltending most players are really underperforming for them.

Yeah, his first few steps have really improved over the course of the season. So much more explosive than he was to start the year.

Goal of the year at any hockey level

#tankforbedard will happen after this season

I think he will be the next Patrick Kane

He certainly has the skill/vision of Kane but I would argue that Bedard has an even more deadly shot.

Should be fun, when everyone has watched him too much next year, and the criticism starts.

Seriously though, looks to be a top talent for sure.

He is going to be good. Better than Jack Hughes or Lafreniere 1st round picks

He's more of a North-South player than Kane is, Kane often uses changes of pace and his stickhandling to give himself time and space. Bedard seems like he likes to attack with speed and try to back the defenders off that way.
