He’s already there my man. I think he has his sights set on the scoring title. He’s got a few games in hand to catch up.2 G already in the 2nd period, his 40th!
He's on a mission to get to the top 5 in WHL scoring...and just might make it there.
It also remains unclear whether the other candidate will be a viable option for the 1st pick.It remains unclear whether he's even the best prospect of his own draft.
Oh yeah... That's true. Never thought about that.It also remains unclear whether the other candidate will be a viable option for the 1st pick.

Bedard will go 1st overall, but that doesn't mean he's the more talented prospect per se.
It's not about talent, it's about Russia
So far Bedard has showed nothing in his junior career that Michkov wouldn't have matched. That is not to say that he is not an outstanding prospect, they both are, but indeed Bedard has not separated himself from his closest peer. If anything he was lagging behind until recently.
And how do you know he would have matched it?So far Bedard has showed nothing in his junior career that Michkov wouldn't have matched. They are close but Bedard is almost a full year younger. If Michkov is the best non North American prospect since Ovi and Bedard is matching him but doing it a year earlier - it’s pretty crazy. So far Bedard has showed nothing in his junior career that Michkov wouldn't have matched. It is about talent, and Bedard is the more talented player. it's not particularly close in my opinion
Well said. They are close but Bedard is almost a full year younger. If Michkov is the best non North American prospect since Ovi and Bedard is matching him but doing it a year earlier - it’s pretty crazy.
Can't wait for the *G* word to be used in every thread next year like it was after McDavid got drafted. Haven't seen it being thrown arround in a whileTbh, his 16 year old season is arguably better than McDavid's. Mind you, Tavares' season was better than both so things can change quick. But he's trending towards that G word.
In the media for Dahlins draft it was used a lot, on here it was rarely used in that case. Bedard is absolutely the next big prospect since McDavid. Can't wait for the *G* word to be used in every thread next year like it was after McDavid got drafted. Haven't seen it being thrown arround in a while
Hope so.In the media for Dahlins draft it was used a lot, on here it was rarely used in that case. Bedard is absolutely the next big prospect since McDavid.
Don't worry, for every miss Canada has they still have guys like Mercer who outperformCanada has had so many "misses" with players like LAF and QB, lately, I hate to get my hopes up.
All those top Canadian prospects will likely take off but... I keep my expectations low.
True. One is the best era-adjusted even strength goal scorer in the history of the league and the other isn't.It's pretty big to everyone outside of Toronto
