Noticeably better in the round robin than he was in the knockout stage, feasts in garbage time when games are out of hand, empty netters, etc. Still a great player but just something I noticed.

Interesting fact. Yes I noticed Bedard is great in round robin games, overtimes etc.

On the other side Michkov has 5 points in 13 KHL games right? I´m not sure but all his 5 points came only from 2 games where SKA won 8-2 or 9-2 right? Or am I wrong? So it means he has 0 points in KHL where opponents were capable hmmm interesting.

Yes that is true but to his credit he usually doesn’t get ice time until the game is a blowout so I didn’t bother mentioning it.

1G, 2A, nine shots. That pass is unreal. Oh wait, am I only suppose to post when he doesn't put up any points? :sarcasm:

The other assist was just as nice. Watched the game - he was absolutely electric tonight.
That’s impossible; his assist totals clearly indicate he lacks playmaking talent. Deepfake technology is really something now.

Need guys who can finish to accumulate assists. Bedard’s playmaking has never been a concern for me.
Agreed. I’ve watched almost all his games this year - he had a bit of an extra pep in his step tonight but he has been making those passes all year. He absolutely rips tape to tape seam passes on the pp. he also doesn’t get many easy assists - he usually has to do most of the work to get them.

Is he still on the point on the PP? He should be on the left side circle where he can rip his shot off.

He has been mostly on the right half wall but they have had much more player movement lately so he’s ended up on the left side a lot. His one timer is inconsistent but he seems much more willing to use it than last year so hopefully it improves.

After watching his 2 games this weekend I will be genuinely shocked if he isn’t on the world Junior team. He brings something different than the other Canada forwards can - a certain poise and dynamic ability. TeM Canada brass knows this.

Anyone who watches this kid for a few games will solidify his status. Yes, the numbers have been lacking, but the ability is exceptional.

Haha, such sour grapes from you as Bedard is on the verge of not even being top-3 in the draft.

Really, you can the outcome of the draft in June of 2023 right now?

If you really had that ability you’d be buying lottery tickets and stocks.

In no way shape or form has Bedard fallen out of the top 3 for 23, the only guys saying this are boxscore watchers and others with a horse in the race with ridiculous comments like Micro is going to score 100 points in. KHL season in the near future.

You're absolutely right on this, wetcoast. Bedard is definitely still in the running for top-3. I didn't mean to suggest otherwise.

Yeah, he’s in tough with all of the elite Canadian talent (namely Fantilli, Yager, Benson, and Ritchie). Add in a guy like Dvorsky and you’ll probably see a promising kid who’s not in line to make it to the NHL for a couple years like Michkov fall out of the top-5.

I wouldn't say it had me concerned, but I felt his playmaking would have to improve to be considered a Crosby/McDavid level prospect. And his last few games have been very encouraging on that front.
