I guess a silver lining is that it’s easier to recover fully when you’re 19 even opposed to just a couple years later when you’re 23-24.

What is it with hockey fans lack of knowledge in biology? I'm 25 and recover faster than I did at 19 (partly due to maturity helping me know when to rest and not to rest + eating healthier)

If your recovery has slowed down at 23-24 you must be really unhealthy

I don't know how long Smith can hold onto a first line spot with those horses in the back.

He'll be a Golden Knight for a long time. I think Vegas might trade him to a team to buy him out and then Vegas signs him for a much cheaper contract.

But I mean Pacioretty-Stastny-Sone will be the first line for a long time.

I do not understand.

Tuch wasn't ready for it this season, Turk did swap them in february(?) but Tuch begun his sophomore slump around then so he swapped them back rather quickly(to which Smith, and the rest of the line, went on an absolute tear until the whole team died down with Flower going down).

So it's a matter of when Tuch is ready for it.

The opposite is true. Your personal experience does not equal knowledge in biology. The younger you are the easier it is for your body to generate new bone and tissue.

Lol the human body peaks at 25 and it goes downhill from theres. You’ll notice pretty quick. Not saying you cannot be better after the age of 25 but if you had the same knowledge, maturity and put up the same amount of work. At the time of your peak you would have been better, everything about your body, strengh, recovery, vision etc is better at your peak. It’s not a counter where the day of your 25 the declines start it’s an average but everyone is close.

Example: i’d go out till 4am in the morning at 18, wake up at 6am, work at 7 and would be fine. Don’t even dare to ask doing that.

That's my point it peaks at 25. The person I responded to said Glass should recover a lot faster being 19 compared to if he was 23.

You're right, my point is the biological difference in recovery between being 19 and 23-24 is not very significant, add to that how a 23-24yo NHL player Glass (assuming he makes it to the NHL) will probably have better access/knowledge (and possibly better healthcare?) in how to eat right and let your body rest properly which in the end means his recovery at 23 shouldn't have declined at all.

Was at the Wolves game today, this kid is gonna be a good one. Solid at every skill, I think his face offs can use some work but that can easily be improved. I really like this kid and hope he does great in Vegas. That 2017 draft class for VGK is looking like a really good one.

Even thou they did trade 2 of their 4, A level prospects (Suzuki&Brännström) Vegas still have Nic Hague and Cody Glass
2 crazy good prospects, possibly the next Jonathan Toews and Chris Pronger, that's nuts.

+ they have Jordan Kooy, Jake Leschyshyn, Ben Jones, Brandon Kruse...

Nic Hauge is not an A level prospect, not even close
