C Clayton Keller - Boston University, NCAA (2016, 7th, ARI)

I don't see any way he lasts beyond the Devils, he's exactly what they need plus add in the USA ties within the organization. Right now I think he's their guy with the Habs looking at size and the Avs probably grabbing a D man.

Nah, Jersey will take the best Jersey like forward available Mcleod and Keller falls to the Sens.

Could happen :)

Secret hope is that the CBJ make a move withe the Avs for Rychel and a Dman and take Keller at 10. He's the perfect play making C for us plus we are loaded with Americans. Dubi, foligno, Jones, Werenski, Milano, Johnson, Atkinson, Bittner ect.

Ideally I would prefer a larger forward to be available. But the hockey sense with this kid is unreal. I'd be having him play left wing with Jack and Sam.

Keller-Eichel-Reinhart

That could be a dangerous line for the next decade. The D just come with too many question marks for me.

Eh... not sure. Juolevi/Chychrun/Sergachev are just too obvious, IMO. I think it will be one of those three or Nylander if he falls a bit.

Been saying this for a while, can't see him getting past NJ.

I'd be good with the Devils taking him but I'm not even sure he makes it to us.
I think he's in play from 7 on. Personally, while some Coyotes fans disagree with me, I think there is a strong chance he is the Coyotes guy at 7. My reasoning is, depending on how much of a say Chayka has, he's the type of player the young analytics inclined scouts love (see Pronman having him at 4). Leafs who were analytics inclined last year drafted similar guys high up (Marner, Bracco, and Timashov later on), and I could see Chayka being from that train of thought. They also tend to be sceptical of defence high and would rather draft in bulk, partially due to expected return on an ELC.

He has a strong chance to be a top 5 player from this class considering his skill set and where the league is heading. Wherever he end up next year they are either serious contenders for the NT (BU) or the OHL crown and the Memorial Cup (Windsor).

I'm pretty sure I read Keller is 100% going to BU and that team is going to be loaded but he's also going to learn a lot there. I prefer guys going the college route because they play older or mature compitition and have a chance to learn that game and bulk up themselves.

He said at the combine he would explore all options but expects to go to BU. Bracco and Milano said similar things last year and the year before and both ended up in the OHL by November. I think he goes BU, but he's not a local kid with ties to Boston like Eichel, Hanifin, and Colin White, so as shown by Bracco and Milano the non-locals can be tougher to hang on to. Plus Windsor has one of his best friends on the team and are hosting the memorial cup, so I wouldn't write it down as a sure thing yet.

If I'm not mistaken, Keller was the one who encouraged friends like Bellows to come to BU. He seems really really high on the program. I'd be floored if he took another route.

While the OHL would be a really good route for Keller, considering he'd be on a loaded Windsor team next year, I also feel like NCAA is the best route for him. The difference between playing schedules of the two leagues will allow him more time in the gym to bulk up, which should be huge for him.

This. He would tear the hell out of juniors, but what he really needs is off ice training and going up against men. He will still probably tear them up too with trusty sidekick Bellows this year. But it is mostly about the off-ice work. Frankly, if he was the proper size, his skills might even be NHL ready. It will be intriguing to see if he is a 1 or 2 year guy.
