Actually that information of Lambert being the youngest player ever to score 2 points in one game is false, cuz Aleksi Saarela scored 1+1 in his debut back in the days, being 2 weeks younger than Lambert. But Lambert is the youngest player with 2 assists in one liigagame whatsoever.

Really mature and poised player there. Puck bounced a little, but that barely hurted his team at all. His two-way game is also well-developed and he culd block passing lanes, give pressure and make it hard to make plays for opponents. Even blocked couple of shots. I liked the way he kept his feet moving without the puck and he also took care of his own zone responsibilities. Not bad game at all from him tbh, not even offensively, even if he didnt really panned out either like he did in his debut vs Ässät outside of production tho. But didnt seriously disappoint either considering his age and lvl of competition.

Almost 2,5 years untill he will even be draftable.

I have seen only some of his plays so far. Who would you compare him to? Matthews?

Previously I compared him to Matt Barzal, but after seeing how he does against adults (tho only 2 game sample size) Im more and more excited about his two-way abilities too along with offensive game and IQ.

Ofc his skating stands as the biggest strenght and especially edgework and acceleration which reminds a lot of Nate MacKinnon.

Hes going to be a great player for sure and it will be pretty exciting to see how good he can be but yet, there have been stylistic comparisons for quite the names so far.

Sebastian Aho ( can play C and W ) but updated version of him.
I really don't know what would be good NHL comparison for Lambert so i have to go with Aho now.

I'll probably get nailed and bashed on that comparison but that's only what came to my mind this fast.
But i reserve a chance to change my NHL comparison for Lambert when I've seen him playing to U18 WJC's first.

I think he have more finesse than Barzal but he is not exactly like Panarin. Effective player and a great prospect.

Dunno in this game.

Your line just reminded me about Kakko. Has allways bad linemates :)
What does this have to do with that? Many times Lambert skated himself open for passes but didn't recieve one, and when they tried they failed miserably by missing 1 meter. He also backchecked and was the only one even trying. Sallinen was outright dumb as it gets, just because i've called Kakko's linemates bad before does'nt change this fact. And yes Kakko has been very bad too so i eat my own words on all that from b4.

Anyways, all harsh critizism aside from his linemates, Lambert played well. He skates smooth as silk, reminds me of Jack Hughes skating.
