Yeah, he speaks fluently, but he has a slight Finnish accent.
Yeah you can definetally hear it. He speaks it perfectly otherwise.

Age wise McDavid's 12-13 season is almost perfect comparison. Otherwise I'm not sure if it makes sense to compare anyone to McDavid at that point of their careers. Anyway, I would assume Lambert has a better chance of being one of the top players in spring after another year of development to make up for that young age.
No one's said generational but he could be the most talented Finn since Barkov.
I'm not saying that's a good comparable, but Lambert is one of the more hyped prospects in the sport right now, so that's something that should be brought up. One of these players coming up soon is probably going to be the next generational player, considering McDavid was a 2015 draftee. Lambert might be better suited as a top five caliber guy or maybe a non-generational 1OA type of player, although in 2022, it might require a very high caliber 1OA to be the first pick.
Yeah thought the same thing when I saw the interview. He is definitely Finnish, the accent is there even though he speaks perfect English like expected.Oh he's definitely raised in Finland.Holy **** did it sound like the typical hockey lingo Finnish juniors use.
Niskanen is actually American, likewise with Tkachuk. A better example is Canadian tennis player Milos Raonic or Jake Virtanen, but Jake's grandfather actually lives in Finland. We live in a world where Tkachuk and Niskanen are Canadian, Wahlstrom, Galchenyuk and Kaliyev are American, Rossi is Austrian, Lambert is Finnish and Zuccarello is Norwegian. It's truly fascinating
Very important tournaments have instant replay...There’s over 200 scouts and NHL personnel in attendance.
It’s the first major tournament for the 2020 NHL draft in their draft year.
It’s a very important tournament.
True, I remember when Liljegren was #2 only a year before the draft and Aaltonen was the best Finn prospect born 2001.It's way too early to even begin speculating about that no1 spot i don't get why people even bother. Top 3 for sure maybe.
Yes you can go from WHL to NCAA. Players have done this before, they had to sit out for a year mind you..This can' be correct as you can't play major junior and then NCAA
Zuccarello is his middle name, Mats actual last name is Aasen, which is very Norwegian.
Has it happened recently, though? I thought current NCAA policy was that playing in the CHL rendered a player ineligible for the NCAA.Yes you can go from WHL to NCAA. Players have done this before, they had to sit out for a year mind you..
* ROSS Lambert went from NCAA to WHL, just want ppl to know that

Wahlstrom has a Swedish father, but he was born in America. Galchenyuk's father is also pure Russian. Zuccarello is his middle name, Mats actual last name is Aasen, which is very Norwegian.

All this tournament is is an appetizer and nothing more.

I guess they'll just have to ice a roster one player short, right? No chance they'll be able to find 23 elite hockey players to fill a roster out now.One moment of silence for all the Canada bois that believed that he would represent their country. No chance mates
Real good player. 13 days younger than Savoie. Still waiting for Savoie to show why he should be considered #1 over Lambert. Then again, I guess he can't while he's only playing with u-17s.

Size will be an issue for him if he doesn't grow.Real good player. 13 days older than Savoie. Still waiting for Savoie to show why he should be considered #1 over Lambert. Then again, I guess he can't while he's only playing with u-17s.
I'm probably stepping on a mine but he's 181 cm and 78 kg at the age of 15...Size will be an issue for him if he doesn't grow.

You need to just enjoy your country's prospects... come on man. Is this going to be a thing every year until it happens? Your bias is disgusting, adding you to my blocked list.Real good player. 13 days older than Savoie. Still waiting for Savoie to show why he should be considered #1 over Lambert.
