Wow, what the hell, english commentary and great quality..

Starts in 2 minutes.

Indeed. But this is vs. Americans so that explains it. Apart from U18 and U20 world championships, you rarely find streams about international games that come down to junior teams. Why can't they (the Finnish hockey federation) take NA'n approach towards these games? I mean after for once the country is producing talent and there are people out there genuinely interested. This is actually being broadcast with commentary, which is super rare and of course a pity at the same time.

Anyway nice setup by Räty on the second goal. But what the heck is he doing in the 2nd PP? Or at least he's barely been on the ice on powerplay (and then immediately gets to score sheet when he's put on). I'd have figured he'd be one of the leading players in this team.

Tieksola has been playing great as well. Meanwhile that guy Zedlac has clearly spent too much time in the Finnish jr systems, cause only Finns miss the type of tap ins he was gifted with.

There's certainly a lot to like about Kärpät junior system and their production right atm. It wuldnt be wrong to consider them one of the best junior development organization right now in EU. Its not only about the system, but also how it gathers all the gifted players together from smaller organizations of Northern Finland and gives them the tailor-made environment when it comes to school and playing hockey.

Back to this topic tho, Im pretty sure as of now Räty will meet some icetime in the big club, whether it was bottom-6 as a winger or center, I think hes pretty safe when it comes to role tbh. Still need to remember Kärpät will be stacked team in Finnish Elite League with all kinds of Pesonen, Jokinen, Kristoff, Lammikko (Puljujärvi???) so it wuld be unprecedented with that kind of competition inside organization to make the big club as soon as upcoming ssn and stay there more than couple of games aswell.

Aaty Ratu scores:thumbu:
liked the entry from him before the goal, tried the same thing around net how he set up his first point but it was 5x4 this time, got tripped up, regained control and then stayed patient in scoring position for the goal. making the NA team look bad

The Americans got dominated pretty good there and didn't really stand a chance.

Räty seems to have some mean streak. In the first period after the whistle he got the upper hand of some player and laid him down on the ice - luckily no penalty. In the third period he was manhandling someone on the wall and sat two minutes for that. He's a pretty big kid for his age. Hope he has better self-control in more meaningful games.

He didn't only play powerplay but also was killing penalties. That's always a good sign when under aged kid is entrusted at the own end of the rink as well.

Didnt return to 3rd period... bummer

Yep. Didn't see the hit from a very good angle but looks he got shouldered? Still he was wearing the cage so how bad could it have been I just wonder. Damn Swede. Would seriously suck if this kid got injured at the verge of the season.

Could be a high ankle sprain?Hopefully it's not anything big.

Btw, this announcer pronounced it close to "Raatu".

He says it "Rätu" in that video. Tongue not going back and instead staying forward the entire time -> becomes Räty.

Hopefully the injury is nothing serious, he impressed with his skating and puck poise at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
