Would the Knights love to have Carter George? Sure, who wouldn't?
At this point, they don't have the assets to trade for him, and OS fans say he won't be traded.
Owen Sound could be a little scary in the playoffs, but the real threat would be if he gets traded to a competitor.
Parsons would be a nice add, but swapping an OA for an OA wouldn't likely happen at this point. It should have happened instead of trading for Elliott.
London should be done trading, unless Luchanko comes as 2nd part of the Guelph deal when the trading window for 16 year olds opens up. I personally hope not though.

I predict Musty to Erie, Luchanko to Barrie, and Parsons and George stay put. Oshawa could use Gibson but doubt they have enough left to get him?

With such a dearth in goaltending, this is the opportunity for Owen sound to make out like bandits with George. So many contenders wasting a spot on an OA goalie. The only truly viable non-OA goalie that could potentially be available is George. The ability for the acquiring team to flip him next year is also advantageous even if the initial acquisition cost is high. There is a possibility that an acquiring team that currently is using an OA slot on a goalie could acquire George AND a high end OA for marginally more than the cost of the 19 year old skater. And, if you factor in the return next year, the cost could be significantly less int he aggregate.

Between the limited teams that wouldn't cause a huge uproar from the fans, and the Eastern teams that have the assets to even make a move like that, it's purely a hypothetical move and not happening this year.

Just curious why the optics are terrible? The team is 9-18, it's not like they're trading him during a competitive window. I would think the optics of not trading him would be worse, unless the team is expecting a big improvement next season?
And it's not like they didn't trade Hancock, Suzuki and Durzi to divisional rivals in the same season. OS and London have made quite a few mutually beneficial trades over the years.
That being said, he's not coming to London this year.

That being said, he's not coming to London this year.

It's debated annually on the Attack board but there's the thought that the team strives to be competitive and make the playoffs every year. That kind of ended with the 30-win-per season streak last year, but logically the smallest team in the league with the same types of operating expenses as the other teams appreciates the revenue from a consistently competitive team during the season, and the playoff revenue from even a few playoff games.

George is an incredibly popular player in Owen Sound, arguably the best goalie we've ever had (and we've had a lot of good ones over the years), and he's 100% coming back next season. The fans would be furious to see him go, and short of a team paying some ungodly sum of high end youngsters and picks, would be real difficult for DeGray to sell to the fans and ownership.

Next year the Attack go from a very young and inexperienced team to a team that's back on the rise. George is going to be at his peak and with even a decent team in front of him could finally win a playoff round again.

The Attack have of course traded even beloved players to division rivals, but the three you've mentioned are part of a pretty short list and they were all 100% not returning the next season. The Attack as far as I know have never traded a player likely to return to the Knights.

I'd say it's far more likely George plays his last game of junior in an Attack uniform in the spring of 2026 than any other scenario.
