Why focus on Bunting there and not on Hagel who just knocked him around?
It's not much, and not really enough to get upset over, but it is curious why this one player is singled out in scrums.
Same thing in the game where the linesman grabbed Bunting from a 1 vs 2 scrum and literally shoved him off the ice.

I've literally never seen that before, and we see scrums every single game.

Bunting at that point is the one going back into the fray, Bunting is by himself and their are multiple lightning.

Probably because Hagel pushed him and isn't actively going at him, but Bunting spins back into the pile of Lightning players. Of course they're going to pull him out as he's likely to retaliate skating back into the pile of players. The fact you've never seen this before makes me think you're trying to see what you want to see or you've never watched a hockey game before.

The Toronto Maple Leafs forward is facing discipline for an illegal check to the head and interference against Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Erik Cernak on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at 15:40 of the second period of the Maple Leafs' 7-3 loss in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Bunting received a match penalty on the play.
